Default Chris Bermanchubby is a.......

u know what. Yesterday, 11/28/04, on nfl primetime he seemed to mock Gibbs when they showed a clip of Gibbs clearly irritated when denying a rumor that he might step down after this season due to health reasons. Berman said something like, "well, ya know, you do have diabetes and aren't the youngest guy." It seemed almost that Berman was admitting that espn started this rumor.

I was a little surprised when a thread was posted awhile ago stating that Berman was putting down Snyder and the Redskins in an article in Maxim. It clearly makes sense now to me.

Just wanted to vent. Thanks.

DC won't get any love until DC starts winning sporting games. This city has been a joke the last few years...between the Skins...the Caps...and the Wiz. The Wiz have actually been bearable lately, but until we start sending DC teams to the playoffs on a regular basis, the media will continue to think of DC as a flawed sports town.

Its sad, really....

Hey...at least we have the United....

I just draw the line when Gibbs is mocked. Berman's partner Jackson seemed to be doing his best to save Berman with effusive praise for Gibbs.

Funny Jacskon's always rescuing Berman from himself, much like James Brown does for Bradshaw.

Berman's doing what network executives want and that means sounding like an as*hole. Executives aren't necessarily well versed in the broadcasted subject material as they are for ratings, even if it meant demeaning their own mother.

Chris was one of hte few that I had not noticed this from but we are the target of all bad media, rarely any good things come out of this.

I believe Joe will come back even harder than ever, just to prove everyone wrong

Programs/Teams/Organizations and even players that are not doing well have ALWAYS been easy prey for those at ESPN. These guys make a living at exploiting the negatives and that's standard procedure for the media in general. ..........The most effective way to counter it - WIN!

Please ignore the TV mouths....

Don't get your panties in a bunch over what Berman thinks.

That is like caring about what a Cowboys fan thinks.....

Nobody is on the Gibbs Wagon right now.......and its ok...I believe he knows that and that alone helps to drive him...

That's too bad if they started that rumor, isn't there some real news out there? And I agree with DJ - we'll get some respect when we win for a change.

Well, a week or so ago, Berman was defending Gibbs when others were saying that "the game has passed Gibbs by" by saying that Gibbs will get it done in DC and win another Super Bowl.

So, I guess it all depends on which way the wind blows in what ole Berman will say.

Yeah but did you see the stadium at the MSL Cup? It looked about half empty. Pro Soccer has no following in this country. We do pretty well up through college but not the pro version.

9 our of 10 losers from sports websites - Fat&smelly, Berman, Banks, etc

Will hate us until we become really good.

Despite the salary cap, every single offseason we've been able to do every player/coach move we wanted

They don't like the fact that we've been able to get around their stupid salary cap, and this is the only way they can get back at us.

They seem to take personal offense to the fact that we still make personel moves freely despite the salary cap.

While we still have DC United, which teams get the most attention? I'm just saying that personally I only care about the Skins and the Wiz, and even though they're a Baltimore team, the O's have been the local baseball team since I was born and I'm still rooting for them. Besides Berman, some other ESPN reporters contributing to the DC bashing include Len Pasquarelli and Chris Mortensen for starting the rumour. But then again, didnt he start the rumour that Spurrier was resigning??
