Orioles
What is the deal with the Orioles' off-season? They came in with, and still have loads of money to spend, yet they haven't signed one difference-maker. If they think they can compete in the vastly improved AL East, they got another thing coming.

I don't know what they are waiting for. I hope they have an abundance of farm talent to pick from coz I don't know what Angelos is doing...

He better stop whining and put a winning team on the field.

He will need to find a way to put butts in the seats, first. The O's are taking a back seat to the Nats from now on...

Attendance never has been a problem for the O's...the Nats will change that though.

What's up with the Os?
Angelos.
He doesn't care to compete as long as he is making a profit.

And he realized he didn't have to spend to accomplish this...I hope the Nats come to fruition so it forces his hand...

Many former-casual fans of the O's from the DC/MD/VA area (such as myself) won't go 2-3 times a year anymore. It will catch up to him quickly...

Well, if many former-casual fans do the same thing, it might force him to stop worrying about his feta cheese and start putting a worthwhile product out there

The Orioles will never have a chance for the rest of life. They need to be spending as much as the Yankees and Red Sox just to keep up, and they're no where near that.

we came into this offseason looking for a #1 pitcher
first it was pavano: he's gone
then it was zito: looks like the a's are keeping him
then hudson/mulder: both already have been traded
i thought matt clement would have been a nice signing but we showed no interest in him
with the inflation in pricing for starting pitching this year, with career sub-500 pitchers like benson, milton, and others, flanagan and beatty need to get to work signing at least a quality pitcher, if not that #1 caliber we were looking for
since we havent signed anyone this offseason, why not get into the race for carlos beltran?
