Default Larry Hughes

Man the wizards promotion department needs to start giving this guy some respect. All you see around the stadium is arenas, jamison, blake and dixon stuff. Its a crime that they dont offer Larrys jersey for sale when he might be the best of the bunch. Scrap those Juan "throw up junk 3s at the worst time" Dixon jerseys and start selling the number 20s

they are not the best but I would still like to see them around the stadium. I feel bad for him being like a 3rd rate player on the team.

oh im not worried about the way he is perceived in the league. I just hate the way fans at the games generally ignore him and anyone that isnt a maryland boy.

Amen to that....Hughes is an absolute beast this year. Dude tried to throw one down from almost halfcourt last night. The scary part is he almost made it (bounced off the rim).

I think he suffers a bit because of all the maryland players on the roster, but make no mistake he is the MAN this year for the Wiz with Arenas a very close second.

I don't think the Bullets believed he was going to be this kind of player in 2005. Hughes entered the season as prime trade bait because of his age, talent, and expiring contract. Now he's arguably the team's best player and a must-keep for the offseason.

You gotta keep that guy,

What are they gonna do with Kwame? The Wiz need some serious inside help.

Hughes is having a career year no doubt. It's nice to see him reunited with Jamison and Arenas cause they bring out the best in each other. You can see the chemistry on the Wiz that has been sorely lacking in past years.

I really don't know what has happened to Dixon and it's obvious he's struggling, but I'll always be a fan of his for the obstacles he has overcome in his life. I still have faith in him...

I think the Wiz need to do all they can to keep Hughes. We have a great core and need continuity to maintain this success.

Re-sign him Abe!

If we resign hughes does that not pretty much ensure Kwame is gone?

Not necessarily. We don't know what Kwame would command on the open market. The Bullets could still trade Kwame, but right now who would give Kwame a lot of money? He'd get a multi-year contract for millions, but how much? Recently there have been some very prominet big men completely flop after getting big contracts. Kwame hasn't proven a thing in the NBA. We don't know what is market value would be.

Kwame is so young and talented that as much as I am down on him, I know he is going to be a good player someday.

He should be a good player some day. Until then he should spend some of his millions to buy a better attitude.

Hughes is having a great year. And I don't get the jersey thing either. Hughes is a better player than the Maryland boys, but fans like Dixon and Blake better because they used to live in their hometown and it sorta gives them a sense of pride or something.
