Wow, I never realized how slow Mike Williams is? Scratch him off my list... If we take a WR at some point, I want at least some speed on the field.
Of course I'll wait to see combine and workout results first but...

Nice list ... I really don't see us using our #1 pick on a WR though, maybe our 3rd/4th rounder (if we have one?).

I'm pretty sure he clocked a 4.58 last year. Besides, Boldin (AZ) and Rice both ran in the 4.7s - go figure.

Of course I like Mike Williams, but maybe he does not fit Gibb's system or is not what we need at this point. We could possibly do what dallas did last year with passing on stephen jackson and trading down to get julius jones who seems to fit dallas's system perfectly. This way skins could get what they need and also fill any other pass rushing need.

In his pro-day workouts last year, Mike Williams ran a 4.56. The thing is, look at him in a game and he isn't slow by any stretch. He ran right by some pretty good corners, Michigan's and several Pac 10 teams' among them. I have a feeling that he is one of those guys who is strong enough to run as fast in pads as he does in shorts, while a little guy might get slowed down more by the extra weight.
The thing I like about Williams is that I don't think I've ever seen him drop a ball. I live out is SoCal and I got to watch him quite a bit over two seasons and the guy has incredible hands. He's like 50/50's evil (good?) twin.

Great analysis. He is quicker and faster than people give him credit for. I never saw Mike drop a ball and he made one handed catches look routine.
The biggest problem with the Skins recievers last year was dropped passses. And in sports things can become contagious for some reason. One guy drops a pass, then another guy, it just snowballs. Did you see Seattle in their playoff game? We need a guy that will consistently go out and make the routine and the tough catches. And say goodbye to the red zone woes.
