Not to take anything away from the player or coaches or the plays we make but looking at other teams I now see that we........... can tackle

I actually think the coaches have a quite a bit to with it. Williams has sold the team on speed and swarming to the ball. Rarely did we have one-on-one tackles. More often than not there was 2,3,4 skins on the play. That certainly helps.

I can remember us having tackling issues as recent as two years ago.

That is the direct result of Gibbs believing in always practicing at game speed in full pads....

I remember reading not too long ago in the Post that Willliams stresses tackling every practice.

Game speed and full pads in the summer will tell you very early if your guys can tackle or not.

Improved tackling is a big part of it. Who's left from two years ago? Smoot and Wynn are all I can really think of. Pierce didn't really play 2 years ago and Lavar did not really play this year.

Watching the broncos game none of thoes reggie wayne catches were one on one he broke 3 and 4 tackles. Also the jets would get excellent penetration but they did not tackle LT well at all. We had a lot of 1 on 1 tackles especially in the vikes game

this is the first seaons in years that our defense has swarming to the ball and actually tackle....
even if there is some small level of drop off next year this will remain a good defensive for years to come as long they tackle like they have been

I think it has more to do with Gregg Williams and his assistants.

I just noticed a few dark SUV's leaving just now with men in black and dark sunglasses.

Apparently an entire spy apparatus was alerted when this post was created.
