MEMORY OF THE WEEK BACK ON THE AIR! - THREE CLIPS UP NOW!
Hey, guys
Sorry for such a lengthy delay between the last "Memory" posting. Life's been busy. But, now that the offseason is here, I should have some more time to post these on a more regular basis.
I tried to make up for the delay by giving you a good bit to chew on.
The first clip is highlights of the Redskins crushing the Steelers in 1991. Great clips from all three posse members scoring TDs in the 41-14 throttling.
The next clip is an .mp3 file. I recently got ahold of a 4-CD set (copied from tape) called "Hail to RFK" that was released in 1996. It features Frank Herzog, Sam Huff and Charles Mann reading article after article on past Redskins greats and great moments from RFK. Sounds a bit boring? It really isn't. Each article is filled with great bits of info. This one I've included is the 1982 NFC Championship game revisited, read by Frank Herzog.
I will try to put more of these up in the future, so you might want to save them if you want to keep them all. The ones read by Sam Huff are particularly funny, as...well...he often forgets to incorporate punctuation into his readings. You'll see what I mean later.
Finally, there's a link to some footage from that '82 pummeling of Dallass. It was posted before, but it never gets old to see Danny White cry, does it?
Enjoy!! Here's the link:

Wow, it is amazing to go back and see the zip in that '91 offense. I think that team could hold their own against any in NFL history.
Thanks WWD!

Yeah, that's so funny. Bugel hated that guy, Ernie Zottner, or something like that.
In the pregame before that game, Ernie calls the Hogs "the sweathogs." You could tell there was such arrogance from that guy. His boys got their asses handed to 'em.
My favorite story is Bostic and Grimm telling Randy White they're going to run the ball right at him nine times in a row as the game was ending.
They can have their "14-1" streak over the past five crappy years. It'll change eventually. But that one victory is worth 10 of those streaks.

Amen, sistah. Dallas will never have a win over us in the same vein that we destroyed them that day. Dallas will never have the pleasure of watching our star quarterback crying on the sidelines. Dallas will never have the pleasure of making us come back on the field, after being humiliated on national television, and snap the ball one more time, just to end the game.
Death to the Cowboys.

Wow, just what I needed! I never get tired of seeing the '82 Championship game. I stood in line all night at RFK in 0 degree weather to get tickets to that game (in the 10th grade!) I'll never ever forget that game. Best game in Redskin history, IMO. Thank you, thank you, WWD.

1991 was the height of Monk, Clark and Sanders careers...and I was suddenly 25 years old again watching that...great stuff wwd...great stuff...
Did you see Monk? Didn't care about almost smacking the upright...he just wanted to get those toes in...looked like a Hall Of Famer to me!
That reading by Herzog...gave me chills....

Yet more evidence of how great Art Monk was. A one handed grab and both feet down. If we could only put all theseclips on a video and then send it to those voters. They might open their minds.
