Yeah.... But I would focus more on getting a big man. Or maybe using our draft pick and someone else in a trade to replace Hughes if he leaves. If he stays, then we should get a big man.

I voted Blake but here is my reasoning. With Blake you have a solid backup but will likely never be anything more then that but with Arenas all we need is a solid backup. If I was building a team from the groundup or had a very young team I would go after Gilchrest based solely on his potential which is greater then Blakes IMO

Oh by the way the Wizards don't have a first round pick this year...They traded that to Orlando for Brendan Haywood...and that was traded to Denver...the only way we can have a first round pick this year is if we didn't make the playoffs.

what?? But we got Brendad Haywood a couple years ago. You can trade draft picks more than a year in advance?

Yup and we traded a conditional 2005 first round pick to Orlando for him...and we are going to the playoffs so we won't be using that first round pick.

Yea i believe Laron Profit was involved in that trade...but Haywood was the 18th pick in the first round so Orlando wanted a conditional first round pick along with that...i had forgotten all about us not having a first round pick this year until I saw in the post a few days ago.

Blake, by the way where is he playing now? My guess is the Grizzlies but I'm not sure.

emin.. oops.. i mean Blake. he's the only pure point guard on our team and his outside shooting is improving each year.. he's become a steady 3 point shooter and was something like 11-18 during a stetch. we have Gilbert Grape so a reliable backup is all we need.. he's getting better while we don't know about Gilchrist.
