God Of War
I usually only play sports games and the GTAs but I decided to shake things up a bit and bought the God of War. I saw the review for it on an internet gaming site and they were all about it. At first I wasn't crazy about the game because I didn't know how to play but now I'm really enjoying it. Has anbody else played this game or heard of it.

I've heard of it, tb. I think it looks pretty cool, and seems pretty fun to play. Is it buy worthy?

it is a cool game, lots of blood, nudity, greek mythology etc... i bought the game and i'm a pretty good ways into it, i have no idea how much longer i have to go, i'm fairly cetain its is a long way. as far as if it buy worthy, i guess that depends on how much time you can put in the game. i might be able to beat this game within 7 days (normal rental period), then again i'm also playing it on the easy level. its alot fun though and thats coming from someone who really isn't in to these types of games

TB, I bought this game for the same reasons you did and I felt kind of the same way about it. At first, I didn't see the appeal. It was just ok. THEN... I got into the game and I couldn't put it down. It's amazing the things you pull off in this game and I love the story line too. But then Splinter cell chaos theory came out and me and my boys haven't stopped playing that online yet.
I definitely recommend the game if you like action titles reminiscent of the old double dragon.

yeah the more i play the more i like it. i think i should have rented this game though because i believe the end is near already and I've only be playing for 2 days. hopefully i'll run into some problems and give up for a while so by the time I start again it will be way past the due date if I rented it.

That is what I fear when I buy fighting/shoot em up types of games. I always get hooked then I have beaten it before I know it. It was like that with the Metal Gear Solid series...I love them but I beat them too quick...even on the hard levels.
Also, I've been told that if you like the Devil May Cry series you will love God of War.

beat the game and you unlock this other mode. Challenge of the gods I think it is. Beat that and you get these special outfits that make you more powerful. That makes it easier to beat it in god mode. I haven't been the game and done any of that stuff but it's supposed to add replay value. I spend to much time playing splinter cell chaos theory on xbox live.

you have two different blades that you can level up and 3 or 4 different types of magics to level up as well. You also get health and magic bar increases as well.
