Welcome to hR Taco John.
I voted for Dan Marino. Even though Jim Kelley could get the Bills to the SB, Dan Marino was the better QB of the two.
BTW, Taco John is the Admin from our newest member of IFS. Be sure to swing over to his MB and welcome them. He has a good group of posters there. Very courtious.

No contest...Marino...the man was a beast just had bad luck with the teams he was on. He was one of the greatest QB's to play the game. Jim Kelly had a ton of support around him for those SB runs.
BTW welcome aboard Taco John

Marino. Quick release, accuracy, efficient plus longevity. Hey, so many things outside of the QB's control have to come together in order for a QB to win the big one. If Terrell Davis hadn't come along, Elway probably would not have hoisted the trophy at all. Kelly was a fine QB in his own right though.

Kelly - sometimes looked more like an "NFC" type QB than a run of the mill AFC type QB

it's no contest, MARINO!
Kelley had one of the best backs in history in Thomas, Marino NEVER had that.
Kelley also had some outstanding defenses lead by Bruce Smith and company. Marino is hands down the better QB, it's a shame they never put a team around him.
I think the better poll would be Marino vs Elway.

I went with Marino. Aside from Elway, I can't really think of any quarterback in history I'd rather have than Marino.

Good Poll
Went with Kelly. True Kelly more support than Danny and Danny was the better passer, but with time winding down I'd rather trust Kelly will the ball because Danny couldn't move if the play broke down.

I would take Joe Montana above all other though. He is my favorite QB of all time.
