Texans Take Hollings!!!
I was hoping my Saints took him as a backup to Deuce but Houston took him in the second round!

Texans take Hollings in supplemental draft
NFL.com wire reports
ATLANTA (July 10, 2003) -- Since running back Tony Hollings couldn't return to Georgia Tech for his season year, he instead placed his hopes on getting a chance with an NFL team.
His dream was realized when the Houston Texans selected him in the second round of the league's supplemental draft.

Hopefully, he has a good career with the Texans!

I heard he was a pretty good back but not 2nd round worthy. i dont think texans should have used that early of a pick. Now they lose their second round pick for next year on a guy who has blown his knee out, and he is no Willis McGahee.

Heres the deal on Hollins. He was leading the nation in rushing yards last year before he tore his ACL.
But, its a little misleading. In the first four games last year, Ga. Tech played the powers of Vanderbilt, UConn, and a couple of other small schools. He had played Safety the previous year. But the Jackets needed a RB and he offered.
Don't take this to be exact. I'm trying to go off of memorie here. But, I'm sure he didn't play against top notch opponents. He's a stretch in the 2nd round for sure.

He's coming off a knee injury, that's why he was in the sup. draft. Some say he has first round talent and the Texans had 2 second round picks, so they gave up the latter. Lots of teams were interested, including dallas and chicago.
I think it's a good move since the texans don't have a star quality back and he could be one. Probably a first rounder next year.
