Best 12th man in fedex (albeit short) history?
I've been to a lot of games since fedex field was built and I can't remember the crowd ever being this loud except possibly the playoff game against the Lions. 3 false starts in a row. Eat crow Orton. Glad I have a keyboard cause my voice is shot right now. The refs really ticked us off with that no-call on the Ramsey clothes-line. They incurred our wrath.
Was this our best 12th man ever at fedex? I say yes. By far.

you're right, it ranks right up there with the Lions game. The crowd was awesome today. Superskin got a lot of play on the Jumbotrons today. That 2 straight false start penalties against the other team was great to see. Normally, that goes against us. The crowd even knew to start the wave while we were on defense not offense. I was very proud of the 12th Man today.

Hooray for the 12th man! You guys at the stadium saved our bacon today. The Bears were having their best drive of the day when the crowd came alive. That drive was destroyed by the fans, more than any other factor!

I just read the Washington Post article and not one mention about the fans influencing those three penalties. The post game interviews with Gibbs, Williams and several defensive players all gave HUGE props to the fans for causing those penalties. Gibbs said the noise level was just awesome and that the fans really "saved the day" because the Bears looked like they were driving for at least a field goal.
And Sonny Jurgensen said, "Credit for that defensive stand goes to the fans!"
It was just awesome knowing we really did make a difference. Three different offensive lineman jumped because of us. I'm still hoarse 8 hours later......

It felt so good to be apart of the 12th man today. After the bears finally punted on 4th and 38 fent and I looked at each other and we were both worked. We put everything we had into cheering and banging on the sign. I was dizzy after that one but god it felt great

It was funny. They got one, it got loud. They got the second, it got louder. Then the place was nuts to cause the third.

LOL, my head is still pounding. I had an empty seat next to me that I pounded while I stomped my feet and yelled at the top of my lungs. It was so gratifying to watch them keep backing up, it was fuel to the fire!

It took a while, but we, without a doubt, got into that ROOKIES head by the end of the game. It was SOOOO exciting to watch on TV!

I have to say that was the loudest I've ever heard this stadium and it simply confirmed every fiber in my body that KNOWS this place can rock just as hard as RFK or harder if we as fans get a product worth cheering about. Seeing those three consecutive false starts gave me one of the best feelings I've ever had as a fan, I really feel like we won the game for our team. Great job everyone.

To tell you the truth, seeing that made me proud of you guys today. That reminds me of Ohio State Buckeye fans. (Ofcourse the best fans in all of sports.)
That defensive stand (by the fans) won us the game today. I was at home watching the game, and all the sudden the volume got loud and woke my daughter up. After 3 false starts I didn't mind too much.
Awesome job.

I graded the crowd a big fat F until the fourth quarter. Empty seats, people sittting on their hands, leaving frequently to get drinks... Same BS we always see, but keep in mind I have high standards.
Then something happened. I really can't explain it, but the defense was COMPLETELY on their heels. The Bears led by Orton and Jones were moving at will and rather than being disheartened, the crowd came to life in a way I didn't think possible. The fans won the game today b/c the Bears were in FG range before the 3 false starts in a row was absolutely amazing!
I for one barely made it back to the tailgate and was weak for about an hour after the game (until I got liquid and some really tasty food). Thankfully that did the trick.
