"I told them that 'you are a Washington Redskin' and that is something special and it can be special for them, too, but they had to make it that way. Nobody was going to hand them anything. For too many years, this team has been a way station for too many players. I told them it was time to make it a destination."

"All I know is RFK was the perfect place to play, and nothing will ever take its place," he said. "It was the perfect size and it kept the noise right in there on top of you. These people in Washington are the greatest fans in the world, they really are. When we first started winning, even going back to when I played for George Allen [in the early 1970s], these people were so hungry for a winner. They were unbelievable. You had a lot of drinks on the house, a lot of dinner tabs picked up for you. You'd get stopped by a traffic cop, and if they knew you played for the Redskins, they'd just let you keep on going."
If FedEx were that loud, we'd be 8-0 at home every year.

Me too Whit! That quote i qouted says it all. There have been players ina nd out of here over the past decade, a revolving door. This roster can change all that. They are aoff to a promising 2-0 start. All we need is great defense and a simple enough "decent offense" If that comes to fruition, i will be ecstatic!

nothing matched my excitement when I was jumping up for joy 2 Monday nights ago. we're all hungry, no, starved, for our team to start winning like the glory days.

I'll be heading out to the game in about 9 hours and after reading that, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep. I'm fired up and nervous at the same time. Don't matter, I'll be representing like I have been for the last 25 years!

Man that article was great!! I've noticed how on Redskins.com when they interview many players on the team and they say how the greatest thing about being a Redskin are the fans. I tell you what. They haven't experienced anything until the team consistently wins. They'll really get some major love then. Let's keep this momentum going and beat Seattle. I can't wait!

Let me set my glass of whiskey down on another sleepless saturday before a Skins game..

The memories of the days of Allen, the Hogs, the Smurfs, just the team itself.

We have seen the Lombardi and have been down the low road.

Now..we can regain....Go Skins, make us proud...We are not a team of ridicule, but a team of promise...Hail to our Redskins, make us proud. Tomorrow is another Sunday, like the Sundays of past, with Brent and Jimmy the Greek and who could forget Phyllis George. Bring back the glory..

Thanks for listening..Drink up and enjoy a 3-0 start.

Man, there is a fire burning in my veins... Right now, it is probably better that I am not at the game this week because I would try to bring down that building with my bare hands. I am begging the 12th man to make noise from the first defensive snap and DO NOT LET UP!

The one thing i regret about goin to college in SC is that i had to give up my season tickets i've had for the last 5 years. I'm gettin pumped up just reading these posts. If we are as loud as we were against chicago seattle doesn't stand a chance.
