Good thing they've got depth at wr, they played pretty well yesterday, although Griese gave them some gifts.

What a complete bust. How stupid can you be to still use an Illegal substance and know that you're being watched by the NFL. I guess now him and Onterio Smith is going to get together and figure out a smart way to beat the system

This is the beginning of the end for Steve Mariucci and Joey Harrington in Detroit.

I hope Mooch gets another chance.... They should never have relied on the QBs they did going into the past couple seasons.

He was flagged for a diluted sample at the combines the year he was drafted. Because of that he was put on the regular testing program. He must have come up positive 3 times since, to get suspended for 4 games, next will be an entire season.

The Lions have some big problems, not only this (cough, cough-Harrington.) I'm really starting to like our chances in the NFC for this season and future ones based of the makeup of the competition.

I'm glad we didn't make that deal in the draft for him. What was it, Smoot and a 2nd round pick I think.

check out these rumors. They are talking about Charles Rogers, but got the name wrong.
Quote:
Carlos Rogers ran into trouble with the league's substance abuse policy even before the Lions drafted him second overall out of Michigan State in 2003 because he gave a diluted urine sample at the NFL scouting combine. Rogers' agent Kevin Poston said then that Rogers was given "four or five big bottles of water" when he was unable to provide a urine specimen at a 6:30 a.m. testing session. Excess water is considering a masking agent, and masking agents -- products that would hide the use of recreational drugs or steroids -- are considered the equivalent of using an illegal substance under NFL policy. So Rogers was placed in the NFL's substance abuse program, subjecting him to up to 10 tests per month.

I think he drank too much water again (j/k). Really dumb move on his part. He's already really struggling to stay on the field with injuries and isn't outplaying Mike Williams or Kevin Johnson. He had so much unbelievable talent coming out of college its a real shame.
