With Springs likely out, we should deactivate Lavar
and bring up another CB on the active roster. With Springs out, that leaves Carlos, an injured Walt Harris, and Ade ( ) as the only CBs on the roster. If Lavar is not going to play much, if at all, his spot on the roster should go to someone else.

Springs is not out(at least not yet) and Harris is no longer injured. He is not even on the injury report, which means he is 100% or darn near to it.
Last time we signed a CB off of our PS he ended up just being put on the inactive list. I think we will be fine this game if Springs is out.

For me,the jury is sill out on Ade.
I was like everybody else after he got beat for the TD....again.
My thinking was "oh no,here we go..... again."
The hit in the endzone on Plummer changed it all for me.
For the rest of the game,I thought he played well.
Maybe that was the play he needed to gain some confidence.
The coaches like him,so he may not be as bad as we've witnessed the past couple of years.
I hope he keeps playing like he did in the Bronco game.
Go get 'em Ade!!!

I say we put Lavar at corner and see if he can make the D better...LOL
But seriously, If he's not gonna play than I do understand your point esp if he's so far down on the depth chart.....I just think he's being punished for offseason remarks and wanting to do what he wants....
I don't neccessarily believe that they ae gonna rush him back...neither do I feel he would get this needed pressure on the QB and cause turnovers.

I say we play Ade on offense, then he won't get beat...

I tell ya, Ade's got speed and he can hit. His coverage skills leave a little to be desired but I think he is improving...big emphasis on "I think" Pretty much all of us have asked for his head, just like we did with Brunell last year. They keep these guys around for a reason and I hope that we get to flip flop and sing Jimoh's praises real soon like we did with Brunell. But right now I have to admit I am much more comfortable with him as the 3rd corner than the second. Hopefully Springs will be out there. Hell I'd want Springs out there even if our other corners were the top 3 in the league...Springs in the man

You do have a point. Why have Lavar active if he isn't gonna play? Normally, I also believe we need 4 CBs on the active roster. But considering this is KC I don't think that is necessary. When they go to 4 WR sets they ofter use either Priest and/or Tony Gonzales as their 3rd and/or 4th receivers. This game I don't think it is necessary.

I'm not sure that's much consolation. We can put a LB or safety on Gonzales, but Priest is fast.

All I can say is, with Willie Roaf being back at Left Tackle look for the Chiefs passing game to really open up. Tony Gonzalez can finally go downfield and do what he is good at.

frankly I think LaVar could play CB better than Jimoh. Jimoh is good for making the tackle if the play is in front of him, but not breaking up the pass or shutting down the throw with tight coverage. And the game is over when the receiver gets behind Jimoh.
Sweet hit on the QB ... shame he's not 50 pounds heavier with muscle cause he's got a decent LB game ... but he's very weak in coverage against NFL caliber receivers.

I know it's a big joke that Ade Jimoh sucks and all, but I've been pretty impressed with his play and I don't really understand why people are still getting on him. I'm fine him playing nickel corner, with Harris and Rogers starting.

Rogers and Jimoh aren't going to cut it by themseleves no doubt. Not only are our corners weaker, but it really limits what Williams can do on defense with his packages/schemes. If Jimoh starts and plays an entire game, the offense will go after him like crazy. Think it would be a sad site. I agree I don't see alot of point have Arrington on the roster if he isn't going to play, but I don't think we are quite to that point yet.

I've noticed a big improvement in his play this year over previous years. He also had a beautiful breakup of a downfield pass, and he can hit.

I like Carlos. He's been solid in tackling and run support like Walt is, and he hasn't gotten burned since that preseason game against Cinncinatti. As for Lavar, I heard from BNG (I think) that he'd be playing on teams Sunday.
