Mike Ditka's

Hey all,

Just got back from Chicago participating in my friend's wedding. It was at the Drake (a very nice hotel). Anyway, the rehearsal dinner was on Friday at Mike Ditka's. We had a private room and low and behold guess who shows up. That's right, Mike Ditka himself paid a visit to the dinner. He took several pictures with my friend and his fiance and then he went to have dinner. My friend told me he asked Ditka for some advice and his response was "I'll tell you what I told my players. Be on time, pay attention and stick to the plan". Ditka was a bit lit that night too.

If you're ever in Chicago, I highly recommend eating there. The pork chops (their signature dish) are outstanding. They are about 1 1/2" to 2" thick.

Man Mike. It seems every time you go somewhere you're running into a NFL player or coach. lol

I had a great time but can't hang like I used to. We partied for 3 straight days until the early hours. We even hung out late the eve of the wedding. Good thing it was later in the evening.

Thank you Kenny. BTW, I kept score for the first time while playing golf. I shot a 125 and that's about par for a beginner. We played at a country club and we actually had caddies.

Excellent story Mike, I saw a bit on TV about Ditka and his restaurant, they said the cuts of meat are huge at his place!

Glad you had so much fun. I love the advice he gave your friend, I'm assuming you meant marriage advice?

The cuts of meats are enormous and yes it was marriage advice, LOL.
