What I love is how much more physical we are from two years ago- on both sides of the ball. That hit got me fired up as anything else in the game. That is the kind of smashmouth I love.

Nice!!!

My how things have changed. People were publicly questioning whether Sellers would even make this team before the start of the season, he had no position, was he a TE or H back......and the list goes on.

Glad to see everyone come around to big Mike.

I expect to see him get more carries inside the 5 yard line going forward.

Sellars has come on very very strong this year-I love his heart just hate the penalties that have occassionally accompanied some of his big plays.

I want to see him run, but with the fumbling problem maybe there is a reason he isn't running the ball.

what fumbling problem. sellers hasn't fumbled the ball. his only funble was when he stretched to get the td. goodeffort. he will defintly be our inside the 5 power back if this keeps up. he has great hands and is a great reciver and love that he has 5 td's this year

here is a link to sellars stats. he has 1 fumble lost or recovered in the last 5 years and 0 this season. betts is the one who has fumbled. sellars problems have been a few penalties but that happens

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12687

heres another site for stats still only one fumble the past 5 yeafrs. really man get ur facts straight and show mike the love he deserves

I don't know that he has a fumbling problem as the ball was knocked loose after he stretched to get over the goalline. It happens. ButI do not think you'll see Mikey get many carries.... He petitioned hard just to get one carry from what I have read.

it's long over due. many of us here have wanted to see what Sellers could do with the ball when he gets his 270 pound frame rolling over some people. Gibbs just made him wait until he was starving for it. the guy does the dirty work like blocking and special teams, and now all of a sudden he's producing touchdowns. he deserves a few carries.

Cooley and Sellers are perfect as interchangeable parts at the Hback, fullback, tightend position.

I enjoyed his performance this past Sunday. I have to say I was impressed, but not sold. He's made some big mistakes which cost us some points, especially against KC. If he can minimize his mistakes to a point were they are non-existing, and diligently hold on to the rock, then he can be a very powerful weapon for us. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, because mistakes can be corrected. But if he can consistantly play at a high level, and build trust in our coaches to be a reliable go to guy in critical situations - then I'l be sold. I know he has 4 rec. Td and 1 rush Td, but sometimes it makes me nervous calling his number. I mean.....he did fumble the ball at the goal line. Lucky the refs called it a TD at first!!!!

Okay, let's straighten this out. It's not considered a fumble if you're stretching out for the goal line to break the plane if you do, and Mike I think had a pretty good idea that he had. Now if it was for a first down, I'd have been pissed because that doesn't immediately stop play. The ball obviously crossed to anyone who was watching, the refs were just trying to get a call reviewed and overturned on us all night. Sorry refs, not this time. The same thing goes for Nemo's fumble in the preseason in the end zone. Who cares what you do with the ball after play is stopped? This isn't Stephen Davis fumbling when he has the ball tucked at the one against Dallas we're talking about here, this is stretching for the end zone on a smart touchdown play.

It just make me nervous in situations like that. I initially saw the ball loose in the endzone before there was any indication it was a TD. I'd rather have someone who is trust worthy with the rock, like Portis, have a definitive TD run without a replay to convince the masses it was a score. You must have ice in your veins, because I get anxiety attacks when the ball is loose, no matter where its location is, endzone or not. I meticulously remember every time we fumled the rock, which costs us games. Im not going to single out Sellers for that "TD". Cooley fumbled the ball, and so did Bruhnell. Mike Sellers needs to make certain that ball doesn't leave his hands, no matter what!!!!!

What is most impressive about Sellers is that he is performing (and to a larger degree, carrying himself) unbelievably considering his not-so-distant past. This is the same guy that bolted to Cleveland, dissed our team verbally to the media there, then landed out of the NFL and into the CFL after drug problems.

Hey, you can talk about our front office all you want, but somebody was on the ball when they kept their eye on him and petitioned to bring him back here.

Last week, Brian Dawkins - this week, Ronde Barber.
