Default T.O. will be a great player for the Skins according to Kornheiser

Did anyone else watch PTI tonight? Wilbon was dogging TO, and Kornheiser, ever the TO apologist, said, and I quote, "I hope it works out when he joins the Washington Redskins, and is able to become a great player." Wilbon said in 2 years Korny would be eating Crow, and Korny said the deal would be one year, maybe two, then goodbye.

Now obviously they dont have any insider info and were just arguing, but from that comment, do you think Korny honestly beleives TO would be any different here? Or is he insane enough to think Joe Gibbs - the man who puts team before any one player, would even THINK about signing a guy who has been kicked out of two organizations in the past 3 years?

I'm not sure if he was making a jab at Snyder, thinking he couldnt resist taking the bait, or if he genuinely thinks Gibbs could make a man out of child that is T.O., but it was a shocking enough comment, I thought it was worth sharing with everyone.

I'm surprised Kornheiser is stupid enough to make such a dumb prediction, last year he said during every episode that Randy Moss would be a Redskin and Gibbs shot it down before it could even become a legitimate rumor. Owens makes Moss look like a darn choir boy. Kornheiser needs to wake up and shut it.

It'll never happen.

I'll trust Tony's theories when he starts staying awake for more than the first half of our games.

Today's angst is the neccessary seed for tomorrow's triumph.

Whenever there is a high profile player available, Kornheiser makes it a point to act as if the Skins signing said player is inevitable. Nothing new from him in this regard.

I'm sure Tony was probably joking around a little with Wilbon. I heard it too, and thought nothing of it.

Never happen.
They say players come and go but the game goes on...the game will go on. But it won't be the same without you Sean. RIP.

Joe Jacoby also said this morning that he would not be shocked to see TO as a redskin next year. Thinking about it the move honestly kinda makes sense from a standpoint of TO and the organization.
1) Snyder loves to sign big name players
2) Snyder loves to sign players from other division rivals
3) TO is going to want to sign with someone who plays the Eagles regularly
4) Gibbs has taken on head cases before so I don't know if its that far fetched that he would take a gamble on him

With that all said I don't think TO will be a redskin. I think the logical destination for him is Atlanta where his hometown is and his former coach Jim Mora is.
After years of predictions for the Skins I'm taking the Wait and See approach this season

No. I don't want him anywhere near Brunell or Campbell.

If Kornheiser really thinks that, he really has no clue what type of man Joe Gibbs is. No clue.

Brunell has already been quoted as saying that a player like TO couldn't survive on a team oriented organization like the Skins. I read it this morning somewhere, but I can't remember where. Gibbs wouldn't bring in a player that would already be on the wrong foot with his QB.
Best. Season. Ever.

The days of the Redskins signing big name players just for the sake of signing them are over. Enter Joe Gibbs.

Anybody who ever made the mistake of thinking that Tony K. knows sports, please take heed of this rather resounding self-indictment. Half of me thinks that we wants TO here just so that he has a seemingly nonstop supply of column material.

Nope...ain't gonna happen. We already got our "GOD AWFUL I WISH IT NEVER HAPPENED WHAT A BIG MISTAKE" signing out of the way a few seasons back.....I call it the "Deion Sanders".

Enough said

Peter Bondra and Darrell Green are without a doubt, my all-time favorite Washington athletes!
Ovechkin and Monk are close seconds!
