Default Riggo sighting!

Well I'm back from Nashville and while I was waiting for my bags at baggage claim at Dulles, I notice a uniformed driver standing behind me with a sign "John Riggins". I was wearing my "R" script hat btw. So my bags come up and the guy is still there. So I figure what the heck and take up a strategic position near the guy. Sure enough, here comes ole Riggo, dressed to the nines in a black pin stripe suit. Walks right in front of me and I said to him "Hey Riggo!". He gave me a nod and then hustled on out of the terminal. I guess he flies down for the radio show and to tape the George Michael show. Wish he'd been able to chat obviously, but he did seem in a hurry and I really didn't want to be a schmuck and bother him. It was still cool to see him tho!

Thats cool, now we have to see if Riggo is wearing that black pin striped suit on the Redskins report on Saturday.

I know how you feel, I went to the pepsi 400 2 years ago and im walking into the track and who drives right by me in a golf cart, JOE GIBBS. It was just a few months after he anounced he was coming back and I will admit it I acted a fool while running next to him telling him hes the best. Atleast you were cool about your sighting.

The Big Rigg, thats cool. I wish I could have the opportunity to meet a legend. I don't know if this accounts for anything, but I saw Bruce Smith at the 7-11 down from my house. He was a total a-hole .

I met Ed "Too tall" Jones out at a club here. Good grief he's huge. I'm 6' and only came up to his shoulder baldes. And he was twice or more as wide as me.

Nice guy though.

Bruce is a poopy-head, and good riddance to him.

Great story about Riggo. Too bad he didn't have time to stop and chat for a second, but you still got to meet the guy in person. Very cool.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Or, you could bring a pic and a sharpie and ask John if he would be good enough to sign one for you.

He probably appreciates the fact that when he comes here even to the airport, we represent. He sees our presence and knows that he was a chosen son of Washington.

Do you really think he'd make you pull out your wallet for a sig at the airport? That would be cold blooded.

He just finished a signing last weekend at that price. I doubt he'd ask for a handout...but I do also suspect he's not liberal with autographs either. I was thinking of pushing my hat out to him, but he didn't really look like he felt like being interrupted. I wonder if anyone else on this board has ever bumped into him and gotten a sig.

Never ran into him myself but a buddy of mine that used to be a bouncer at a Fairfax City bar once carried his totally drunk arse out of the establishment.

BTW, Riggo filled in for George Michael tonight during the picks segment with Sonny on NBC4 news.

I would love to meet Riggo in real life. Man, I bet that guy has some stories for the ages. I bet if you would have offered to pay for his bar tab that night, he may have hung out with you. Heard he was quite the character and he hasn't changed much since leaving football.
