Default So I Got My Tickets This Week...

Redskins tickets, that is. Thought the geekier among you [you know, people like me] might be interested to know which players are featured on the tickets. There are ten tickets in all, for the preseason and regular season. The first two weeks are for the preseason, naturally.

1. Patrick Ramsey
2. Randy Thomas
3. Laveranues Coles
4. Lavar Arrington
5. Champ Bailey
6. Chris Samuels
7. Jeremiah Trotter
8. Fred Smoot
9. Rod Gardner
10. Jon Jansen

I thought they might give one to Bruce Smith since this is his final year, but apparently not. You know this is the town that spawned the Hogs and the Hogettes because what other team would stick an offensive lineman on a ticket three times?!

Yeah, I've been delivering those rascals all week. Iwas tempted to ask several folks if they didn't mind opening the FedEx letter in front of me so that I could take a look at the pics this year.

Hey Spence would you give us a peek at your seats?

You know, so we can oh and ah and generally be jealous?

AGIBBSGIRL: Well, my tickets are nothing to crow about, aside from the fact I just have them. [And I'd never crow about that since I know what it is like NOT to have tickets.] I have three tickets in Section 417, Row 14, Seats 14-16.

When the stadium was first opened tickets were allocated on the basis of previous ownership. In other words, those who had season tickets at RFK got the best seats at the new place. Since my family did not have tickets at RFK and most season ticket holders did not cancel their membership, people like me were put in the upper decks. I don't mind, though. I see the game very well up there and if there is a single bad sightline in the place I can't find it.

We've had the chance to move down once [not counting the countless offers to buy those club seats] and we took it, so we're getting closer to our ideal seats. I also want to keep moving down so my dad, who is not a young man, will continue to come to games with me. [Less eye strain and fewer stairs to climb are important to a man his age.] Since I'll never give these tickets up while I live, my plan is to just continue moving down every couple of years as better seats open up. One day I'll take my son[s]/daughter[s] to the game.

Hey Spence, you may end up in the band section if you keep moving down.

So, will we have the Lavar tickets or Champ? I'm guessing Lavars but I'm not sure.

I should be so lucky, Mike. I wouldn't mind your old seats. You know, back when the band sat where I think they belong--down by the field. Just close enough to drive the other team nuts with countless renditions of "Hail to the Redskins."

Gee my tickets are in too but they don't sound as exciting as yours! Mine just have a picture of my living room! The seat is pretty good, I am only a few feet off the field and the concession stand is only a couple steps away. Oh and the parking, it's excellent. Tailgating is almost non exsistant though. Seriously I am jealous as well but I live a little to far out to be a seasopn ticket holder. Congrats to on you well deserving fans who get to go to all the games. I just ask one favor when you are there make some noise for me! I scream and shout and jump up nd down in front of my T.V. but no one seems to listen!

Hey, it sounds like your seats are pretty close to mine!...one good thing about my seats is that there aren't too many fans of the opposing team around.

Yeah, I paid over $100,000 dollars for my sky box. What I like the most about it is the restroom lines.......nonexistant! lol

I'm like the others. I wish I could be at every game....but it just can't be done. Be sure to make some noise for me too. Keep FE rockin the entire game...
