A question for the locals......
why does ComCast kiss the Ravens arse so much? Isn't CC a DC sports channel or is it a Maryland sports channel?
I just watched SportsNite on my satelite and they showed 10 minutes worth of the Ravens and about 2 minutes of the Redskins. Plus, they sent a reporter out Owens Mills (?) and sent no one out to Redskins park.
Do the Redskins rely more on a local news channel to cover them more in depth?
Just wondering. It pisses me off that the only reason I get the sports package is to see Redskin news during TC and season.
Thanks in advance.

I think it prides itself in being regional, as far as DC,MD and VA. They do however gear themselves more towards the Ravens in their football coverage though. I don't really watch it though unless the Wizards or Caps are playing.

i watch comcast sportsnet every day and it normally covers both MD and DC sports teams but they do tend to cover more of the ravens then they do the redskins . they show the ravens preseason games on CSN and have alot of ravens shows during the season. i love watching redskins magazine plus on CSN during the season though, that should be starting up soon. the host is tony mcgee, former redskin, and they have different people (mostly former redskins) to talk about the skins and the league. i just saw the show too carmike and i noticed that they had LIVE coverage of ravens camp and 10 seconds on the skins, but skins coverage will pick up once things really get in gear.

Maybe I'm the only one who sees Comcast sports actually covering the Redskins far more thoroughly than the Ravens. Over the last month or so, it has been more Ravens, but since they began the network, I see them covering the 'Skins far more. They are based in Bethesda, and interesting enough, Ravens fans up here in Baltimore complain that Comcast is more Redskins driven!!!! I think that Comcast is trying to do the Ravens justice, BECAUSE they do not want to be associated with "favortism", being that they are based outside of D.C.

well if they want to be far, they can move the station to Columbia so i can work for them! (im going to school to do the behind-the-scenes work in television). i see the coverage as pretty much balanced, but the football shows and such are more catered to the raisins IMO. the good thing though is that they have post game shows for both teams, after home games only.

I thought I replied to this already. Well, I think they do show the Ravens more than the Skins and that's why I watch the local channels.

Lady, I do agree that the show they put on after the home games for the Skins is great! Thats what I wanted to see every week. It seems that all the money Snyder spends on the team, the weakest areas are "Redskins.com" and talk shows pertaining to the Redskins. I know that CC has that one show. But, if you watch Fox sports from other cities you'll see that they have WAY more in depth shows with call ins and what not...

I watch Redskins Mag plus, but that's basically it for that channel...I usually watch George Michael & Sonny on NBC for my SKins news...of course the majority of it i get right here at hR.com

Redskins.com has to be the least informative of all the NFL team sites hands down, and it could stand a lot more glitz. With so many web based companies in the DC metro area you would think that they could and would do alot better.

I think it depends where you live. I live in central PA, Comcast is big here (it's my cable company), but mostly I get Phillies and Eagles coverage.
Comcast isn't just the area around DC. It's a big chunk of the mid Atlantic region and I believe it has aspirations to being a big player on the enitire east coast.

I was wondering how you watched the ball games. I never heard you mention a satelite.

Hey PSF, I'm in Hershey and I only get the FOX43 station out of York, which is primarily an Eagles outlet. What station do you get?
