Default Woodson eyes playoff return to the Girls.

Quote:
Coach Bill Parcells has contacted Darren Woodson, telling the former Cowboys' safety to be ready to play if the team makes the NFL playoffs, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Saturday.

Quote:
"We'll see what happens because they are not in the playoffs just yet," Woodson, an ESPN analyst, told the Dallas Morning News. "Let's wait until Monday."

I'm glad to know we made the decision easy on him.

Make note of this...

Earlier in the week, it became known that Joe Gibbs instructed the Redskins front office to refrain from formally mentioning the possibility of a home playoff game until we actually won the division.

Meanwhile, Parcells talks to Woodson about returning to the team for the playoffs as though the Cowboys had already clinched a wild card.

That's the reason why Gibbs is Gibbs, Parcells is Parcells, we are in the playoffs, and Dallas gets to watch us from home.

Absolutely true. And the reason is Gibbs is a better, more humble coach than Parcells. Now, I wanna see Parcells retire and see Jerry Jones squirming around for a competent replacement.

He'll probably hire Mike Martz or TRY to hire Gregg Williams. God, that would be terrible.

I feel comfortable in saying that Joe Gibbs would steer GW clear of that job for obvious reasons.

I would actually prefer Tuna to stay in Dallass than to have GW go there, because you know Tuna will keep Bledsoe and GW would probably cut him loose.

So Woodson makes his decision today for the Cowboys' playoff run.

I'm surprised that it has taken this long to get the word on him. I think that Al Davis would prefer that his firing not be lumped in with the others. He wants all that day's attention to himself.

So true but so funny. Davis is really one of a kind, isn't he? The way he presents himself and the kind of teams he like- a very fast, physical, and filthy squad. Successfulness is preferred but perspective is at his forefront.

Jones isn't that stupid or possibly he is. I would love to see Turner coaching the Girls next year.
