Danny's Money finally paying off
Hey gang. It been a while since I've been with you all.I do hope all is well, and you've all had a great Christmas a new year. My computer's been on the blink. All is well with me and the family.
Danny has in fact opened the checkbook and the Defense is putting up! It's a great thing for Danny to make such a great investment in GW. Saturday GW showed off to the NFL why he deserves to be a head coach but prayer- fully he'll be our head coach after Joe decides to hand the reigns over to him. I just cannot believe we are where we are and all of our division opponents are at home. You cannot imagine how that makes me feel. I will be the first to admit that I've been very critcal of Danny in the past. But now he has shown me that he can stay out of the way and alllow Joe and Co. to put a winning team together. He has to be commended for that.
In closing, at this years draft party, I will go down to say that I do expect to hold up my end of the bargain when I responded to the "If we make the playoffs I'll..." thread.
So Smoke my friend, I do owe you a beer "even though I don't drink". And Akh there is a nice Ice cold Pepsi waiting for you at this years draft party.
Hail

Welcome home my friend! You know you have been sorely missed!
Yeah, I think everything changed when Danny hired Spurrier. From that point on I think he tried to make better decisions re: cap spending, but he did not have the right coach in place. Now I feel like it is all coming together.

Thats problay the best $8 mil good ol' Danny ever spent. i thought it was a great idea to re-sign him to an extension. I would hate to imagine where this team would be without him.

I have to disagree, the best of Danny's money was spent on Joe Freakin' Gibbs, and then it was the "Animal Trainer" (as Doc likes to call him).

Exactly! Joe Gibbs is what makes the whole thing work, and if you do not believe that, then listen to the way GW talks about Gibbs. Of his three reason for staying, the most emphasis he placed was b/c of the people he works with (Gibbs and Snyder).
GW is the animal trainer, but Gibbs is the ring leader!
