Taylors trial delayed to 4/10
It looks like with the new addition of lawyers they decided to delay the trial again.
And it looks like one of the witnesses have been getting threatening phone calls.

Quote:
MIAMI -- The trial of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor on aggravated assault charges has been delayed again by a judge who also heard allegations Friday that one witness in the case has been threatened and offered money.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mary Barzee agreed to delay the trial from March 20 to April 10 at the request of Taylor's defense team, which now numbers three lawyers. They said more time was needed to take witness statements, including three people who live in other states.
At a hearing, prosecutor Michael Grieco said one witness in the Miami area had gotten several threatening phone calls and been offered cash to influence testimony. He declined to identify the witness or who might have contacted that person.
"It's an open investigation," Grieco said.

I would be really shocked if Gibbs and/or Snyder actually testified on behalf of Taylor.

Defense lawyers have listed as potential Taylor character witnesses Redskins coach Joe Gibbs and owner Daniel Snyder, although it is far from certain whether either will actually testify.

Phone calls and cash sound very, very fishy. ST has far too much to lose for that kind of stupid, VERY OBVIOUS action. That's got to be a person overheated in the brain. By now ST's somewhere with his fellow 'Canes from the U, chilling out and more than likely surrounded by folks and it is more than likely NOT in Miami. That sounds so phony. Gee a person goes to college in Deleware and since an incident happens there, it is assumed I go all the way back to that same area to make a deal and send threatening phone calls, all in one swoop. NOT!

I think Joe Gibbs and Daniel Snyder may testify on Taylors behalf. They spend allot of time with him and can testify to his character and his maturity. They can also protect their investment. Plus a little star power has always went over well with a jury as far as I can tell.

They really really really need stop delaying this trial. His lawyers should be fully prepared by now, no excuses, this spells bad news to me. If i recall when he signed up the new lawyers they specifically said they were not planning on delaying further to get up to speed. WHat is the deal? It is looking more likely that he is not going to be here for OTAs.

I believe that it is either not even happening, or the person has nothing to do with Sean Taylor.
