The Jets pick will come early... practically a late 5th. Then add the possibility of compensatory picks for losing Pierce and Smoot (a possibility, even Gibbs mentioned it recently)... can you say, depth people?
Hoorah! Clear cap, extinguish the Ramsey controversy, free a space for Campbell AND add a pick. Yeah, the mediots will have to criticize Joe for how he handled the situation. We really blew it with Coles, Gardner, and McCants too.
Hail, yeah!

Sorry to say it, but that was implied byt the fact that we only got a sixth round pick because of the poor handling of Ramsey since he has been a Skin.
I can only wish Ramsey the best because I feel he gave the Skins the best he has had since he join.
Good Luck in New York PR!

Well, unless the Jets draft a Tier 1 QB, Ramsey will get his chance to start. I'm very skeptical (what else is new, right?) about Pennington's shoulder and his return to Pro Ball. Unless they get him a bionic arm, I think you can put a fork in Chad. PR is their starter by November.
So I was thinking, since PR is in NY, do you think Hillary will announce him at his Press Conference? It's free press and another prospect that won't deliver for NY. Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Said head coach Joe Gibbs, in a statement: "We appreciate Patrick's contributions during his time here with the Washington Redskins. Through this entire process, we have always wanted what was best for Patrick and in working with him we feel this is where he wants to be. We wish all the best to him and his family and his future with the New York Jets."

fatsquerelli has an article about that 2002 draft saying it was a bad draft...but for some reason ramsey is the picture on the front page of espn (right now) with the link...i just found that typical but im not even sure he controls what photos are used.

Im sorry but there is not stopping the laughter with that one!! Good stuff Dustin!!
Im glad we moved him and actually suprised we got a 6th rounder. Considering i thought we would never be able to move him and we would eventually have to release him.

...we have always wanted what was best for Patrick and in working with him we feel this is where he wants to be.
That's one thing the press will never understand about Joe. He promised Patrick to help him get a good situation this offseason.
Maybe we might have gotten more somehow. But if NY is where Patrick wants to be, then why not make him happy, take the 6th and move on...
Gibbs is pure class, my hero, even when the idiots like Pastabelly take aim.
Man, that stuff will make winning next year all the sweeter.

We got ripped off, but I wish nothing but the best to Patrick. He's a class act.

Glad to see him go and I'm not 100 % sure Chad will be ready on opening day after his second shoulder surgery in 2 years. PR could end up making a strong bid for the starting job.....that being said I like our current qb depth a lot .
