I love the pick. Kevin Simon is a good LB. Injury problem but can get it done. He is really good depth for us at LB. I like this pick a lot. We still need help elsewhere but maybe he was the BPA.

Kevin Simon another ILB well well hope they all do well. I hope they sign Jai Lewis as an UFA though that will be great for the fans.

Does our medical staff know something the rest of the league's doesn't? I've never seen so many medically challenged players taken by any one team in memory. What's up with that?
I'm guessing this was a teams pick:
"But until he becomes a starter, he will be a very good special teams player."

Why wasn't this guy drafted?
Anwar Phillips -- were there character issues? Otherwise, I don't get it:
SUMMARY
Phillips was a very enjoyable player to watch, because he consistently has shown a knack for breaking up passes and eliminating his man from making important catches. He has the foot quickness, acceleration and playing speed to stay with any receiver deep down the field, and uses his body very well to cut off and shield receivers to break up passes. One thing that stands out is his willingness to punch a receiver in the mouth in press coverage, and he has the size and strength to push receivers around out in the route. He has the ability to plant, drive and close very fast on passes in front of him, and he will get better as he improves his backpedal and stops using that side-pedal so often. He has shown the strength and toughness to be a good tackler in run support, but he must make sure to bend his knees and tackle with leverage every time to be a consistent tackler in the NFL. Overall, Phillips is one part of the elite two-man cornerback tandem from Penn State, and both are going to be very good NFL cornerbacks. Phillips has the height, foot quickness, athleticism and toughness to become a very good all-around cornerback who can be productive in all types of coverage.

Joseph Duarte, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Miami Dolphins DL Rodrique Wright (shoulder) was informed Sunday, April 30, that he has a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. He will be evaluated in Miami Thursday, May 4, and will likely need surgery in the next couple weeks. Head coach Nick Saban told Wright the condition would likely worsen if he did not have surgery, "but once it's fixed you'll be good as gold."
