I think his family is based in the Charlotte, NC area now. Gibbs probably just has a condo or townhouse up here for him and his wife. He had a nice house in the Oakton area during his first tenure in DC. I played HS football against his oldest son, JD.

A couple weeks ago I saw Shawn Springs and his wife and kids at the movies in Sterling.
Then, just last week in Leesburg, my wife and I were bowling.
When we got our lane, there was this HUGE guy sitting in the lane next to us, like he was waiting for someone. His face looked familiar to me, but I didn't think anything of it. He did have a Skins hat on, as did I, so I just thought, "another member of the Burgundy army. Cool." He even chit-chatted a little while my wife and I bowled, congratulating my wife on a strike.
Next thing I know, I turn around, and there are about 4 or 5 other similar looking guys in the lane, and one I immediately recognized as Derrick Dockery. When guys started calling him "Doc," I knew I was right.
I looked over at my wife and whispered, "Redskins." Some other people were asking for autographs, but I didn't say anything to the guys. They seemed very cool, but I didn't want to bug 'em. And I was enjoying just eavesdropping on their conversations that seemed to be about football and new things they were practicing. Only later did I realize that the first guy I saw was Cornelius Griffin!!
Dockery was hilarious bowling. He basically cupped the ball like a shot-put and heaved it down the lane with a serious spin, and it often went into the gutter. That dude is a monster. But there seemed to be a lot of camaraderie with the guys, which I thought was a good sign at this point in the offseason.
Anyway, the novel continues. There were some other Skins there that I just simply did not recognize at all, but one looked somewhat familiar. The only thing I had to go by was that, on the bowling score screen, he signed his name as "Jizzle."
So, a few days pass, and that Sunday, I go to "Maggie Moos" for some ice cream. I walk in, and there's Jizzle behind the counter with a full Maggie Moos outfit on! The manager is on the phone to someone saying, "I'm in the Leesburg store today, I have a Redskin working here."
Well, Jizzle seemed like he didn't want to be there. He just kind of stood in the background with his hands in his pockets. Then, he sees me with my Redskins shirt on (I guess I wear those things a lot), and he comes right over and asks to take my order. I look at his name tag and it says, "Redskins Ron," but I still have no idea who it is.
Anyway, I asked for a regular cone, and the dude makes me this HUGE scoop that doesn't even fit into the cone, so the manager makes him put it in a waffle bowl. More for me. Thanks, Jizzle.
The manager takes my money and says, "You know that's Ron Johnson of the Redskins?"
I still have no idea who that is, or why he was even there (there were no signs promoting a Redskin appearance anywhere), but I guess it doesn't matter, because to me, he will always be known as Jizzle.
(Epilogue: I got my lazy arse over to the official site and see that he's a second year WR picked up from the Ravens this year.)

Whoa thats crazy i saw them bowling in Leesburg too!!! It was Taylor Jacobs, Derrick Dockery and Cedrick Killings.

Race track? What kind of race track? There are some small horse runs in Oakton and there are a bunch out here in Leesburg but I know of no race tracks in NoVA, other than Old Dominion in Manassas but that is for stock car and drag racing.
Are you talking about Charles Town, WVA?

Btw, those guys were very cool and polite. Any time my wife was about to bowl, they would always wait for her and let her go first before rolling themselves.
Then again, they didn't seem to give a crap about me. Hmmm.....

My bad, I thought he meant someone else, just didn' t want to leave him hanging, if he meant otherwise.
I think this meeting of these guys all over is wonderful for the fans that really love and appreciate them. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of folks. I really want to meet the later day players myself!

I bet people are seeing all these Redskins because they are trying to have some fun before training camp, minincamp, and all that stuff begins. Not saying football isn't fun of course but something fun besides football.

Oh, well I have no idea where his residence is down there but most of the people with money live around Lake Norman, which is about 20 minutes north of Charlotte.
Sorry, I was just using Charlotte as a general area, not specific.

From what ive heard he lives in a penthouse in one of the nice apartment buildings in downtown Reston. Thats how I can see it from miles away.
I think a poster here actually lives in the building.
