Well, Carolina's playcalling was even more bland, yet more effective. The D line scared me more than anything.

I saw Carolinas defense run a lot of blitz packages. If you mean their offense, then I agree.

As far as teh TE screen, that would have helped but where was this recieving back we had to have. this is supposed to be Trung and Watsons strong point but I don't remember many plays going in that direction

I hate to say it but we had the same problem in our game. I ascribe both to the fact that both teams have too many new guys starting on the O-line. You have two new guards and might have a new center yet. We have a new tackle, a new center (twice) and a new system. Too much newness makes the linemen nervous. Nothing for it besides practise, practise, practise and games. Although Bill was quoted as saying he might simplify the system untill the teams shows it has basic plays down. That may apply to the Skins too, yes it is the second season this O has been implemented but you have what, a dozen new FAs, 3 new draftees and they comprize part of your starting O unit. Time will tell.

A great way to screw up the blitz is run a trap play or two. The sight of his blitzing defenders running past a sprinting tailback should make any defensive coordinator think twice about throwing the kitchen sink at our offense.

Oh I agree with that too!!! But if you go back a look at the game (and no one really wants to - I DON"T), when we attempted that there just happen to be a Carolina jail break going on and I think everything on our offense end up on their A55 at the line of scrimage. It was ugly! LOL - Oh well, we will work it out this week at camp - I hope!
