With the heavy rains of the past week and the extroardinary flooding of the mid-atlantic and northeast regions,it is being reported that the low lying areas of Laurel,Md. are being evacuated.
There is also a Flash Flood Watch in affect for most of Va./N.C. until late this evening.More heavy rains expected.
Due to a large amount of our membership being located in these vicinities,I'd like to remind them to be careful and to pay attention to their local weather stations.
I live right on the southern most part of coast in NC and somehow 99% of that rain missed us. It rained all around me but hardly any fell right here. I was hoping to get a day off seeing as I work outside but nope, sunny skies with a sprinkle or two the last two days.
There are a lot of places under water right now.
I hope our friends in Yardley,Pa. and in Montgomery County,Md.
are doing ok.
10 deaths have already been attributed to these rains.
