Default TOP 50 PLAYERS IN THE NFL.

Pete Prisco

http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9469847

Quote:
18. Clinton Portis, RB, Redskins: He looked much more comfortable in the Redskins offense last season than he did in 2004. Portis is one of the league's most explosive backs.

26. Sean Taylor, S, Redskins: He is on the verge of being a superstar. He has range and he can tackle. Watch out for him in 2006.
This was done a while ago so i dont know if anyone saw this already.

What, no Jesse Lumsden?

This article is just another device in which Prisco can let it be known once again that Peyton Manning is better Tom Brady. He's on a mission to make us forget who wins the big game. The Stephen Jackson and Merriman inclusions are a litte odd. Ray Lewis is way too high; he hasn't been the 10th best player in the league in about 4 years. I wouldn't even put him in the top 50 at this point. Also, both Cardinal WRs, but no Moss. You could make a case, but not a very good one.

Exactly...all NFL writers should be banned from writing any kind of personal opinion from February to August. It's like off-season power polls..can't think of anything more ridiculous...

I think this was posted awhile back, but if it wasn't, my bad.

These lists are stupid. Its just inane to rank the top 50 players at any position. Sure you can rank them position by position but just overall, it doesn't make any sense.

I still think all the writers on SI.com are tools. Just my personal opinion though.

Yeah I believe that it was posted awhile back. Remember everyone trying to figure out how Ray lewis was at # 10? This list makes me want to get a job in sports writing. Hell it should make everyone want a job in sports writing. It obviously doesn't require any kind of knowledge to become a writer for most of the major companies, as we see from most of the articles we read on a daily basis!
