Default Where do you play?

I'm starting up a FREE league with some friends and am trying to decide what site to setup the league on. I usually use Yahoo or ESPN and they do the job but always leave a little something to be desired for some reason. One was easier to search for FAs and look at stats while the other gave better flexibility with customizing scoring and such.

Do you guys have recommendations? How's NFL.com's look? Why do you play where you do?

As far as free sites go, Yahoo is tough to beat.

I just remembered one of my problems with Yahoo. They don't separate the benched players from the active players when you're working on your roster. It seems like a small thing but when I'm looking at my team, I have missed something because of this...thought someone was active when they actually weren't.

I want to be able to see quickly who I've got playing, and when there is one long list, I have to consciously think about where the division is between active and benched players and it's just a hassle.

I have to agree with Dave on this one. Yahoo is my favorite.

I've never tried any other site.

I refuse to play in free leagues. The worst teams always give up on their squads and it ruins the competetive balance of the league.

CBS sportsline has been my favorite fantasy provider in the past due to the amount of features and customization offered. I have also experienced very little downtime with their leagues. However Yahoo has integrated many of these dame features and options into their fantasy package recently so I would say it is a push between CBS and Yahoo.

ESPN is the WORST!!! If you like to watch stat tracker, or like knowing your team's score before Monday morning then ESPN is not for you.

I use EA Sports. Its $50 for a league but you get a pick em league out of it too. So 2 leagues really for $50. The stats are up to the minute. But if i want a free league i go yahoo. But i really like having the updated stats. I hate having to wait until tuesday to see if i won.
