Sure is, sounds somewhat comical ... we'll find out soon enough. I hope he's right and Collins is 3rd!

i just read that, i was going to post the link in the "collins backup" thread. funny stuff.

So Dan, acting as if he has no idea what he's taking about, says that, per Vinny, I should go ahead and turn in my credential, because Jason Campbell is the backup quarterback. He's the guy behind Brunell. The Danny again goes to lengths to say that he doesn't know what any of this means, and he's just relaying a message.

First of all, Vinny knows I rarely if ever talk to Dan, that Dan is essentially not speaking to the sports media these days and that we almost never "run into" each other. And, obviously, Dan knows all of that, too. Secondly, how many good people out there believe that The Danny spends game-day making housecalls for Vinny?

LaCanfora is getting to be a little sensitive and slightly bitter. If he wasn't such a tool I am sure his life would be a little easier.

Dan Daly is the current standard for jerks with an agenda in the local media but LaCanfora sure seems to be gunning for #2.

Mike Wise and Sally Kenkins have Daly beat hands down.

Maybe. The problem is, Daly hunts every day while Wise and Jenkins are opportunistic scavengers. I think his constant stream of vitriol outweighs their intermittent kornholiosity.

also, saunders was quoted a few days ago as being non commital as to whether JC truly had what it takes to be a starter in the nfl. maybe he was playing bad cop, but that, to me, is an indicator that collins is still firmly entrenched at #2

Ha! THAT'S the word I've been groping for to describe Wise, lol.

Sounds like Campbell may still be reserved for 3rd string. I think you have to be at least 30 yrs to play qb for Gibbs. He really is letting Jason "progress." It could work out beautifully however the next few years when Jason totally knows it and is ready to go.

I might have just had it with LaConfora, and I imagine so would Snyder at this point. What ***POSSIBLE*** reason would Snyder have to go up to LsConfora and say what he did other then to try and correct a mistake that he wrote in the post a few days ago. Granted Snyder did it with a smile and probably a little bit of tongue in cheek but that is how the game is played when an owner wants to get correct information out to a reporter without saying "Hey I got info for you why don't you write about it".

Lets look at it from Snyder's POV. Why would he go out on a limb, or put Vinny out on a limbm, to goad LaConfora who, according to LaConfora, did not initiate the conversation? What benefit could Snyder have in saying somethign to the Post that would eventually turn out to be wrong as LaConfora supposes?

I used to be on the side of the Post in this little war between them and the Redskins as I felt the redskins, as all corporate entities do, try and tell us only what they want us, the consumer, to know. the post I felt was objective and gave me a good third source to get information. This blog was mean spirited and turned what could have been an oplive branch by Snyder into another pissing match.

I actually am startign to sid ewith the redskins on this and I want LaConfora gone. He swore up and down we were getting Mike Williams when he had no prooof of that and also thought we would trade both our draft picks to move up to #1 to take him. He is a dink.

Well I will say this I think one of two things happened here. Either this really was a fact and dan was having a little fun with jason and at the same time handing him a fee bone or dan still has an issue with the post and is messing with them on purpose.

Either way I think Jason is an idiot for telling this story. If dan was in fact giving him a bone then he should have simply stated that a high up inside source reported that cambell got the job, because after writing this up about a private exchange with dan does he really think dan or anyone is going to have another private chat with him?

Finally i will be most pleased if this is true and cambell is #2, yet perplexed why he didn't receive more snaps.

I agree, and it really is sad to think that their "feud" is impacting their ability to write objective stories.

The week before our biggest game to date we get a puff piece abut Tom Coughlin from Jenkins......my exchange with Emilio whatever his name is basically let me now where the Post was on this issue.

JC will be inducted into the HOF for being hyped up each year and loosing a starter job to statues and aging men.

yea i agree this feud has gone on long enough, way to long actually. pompous, arrogant egos are at stake for the parties involved, and the fans suffer through the effects.

This is only his second year. Let's be patient although he really should be ahead of Collins.
