On a more serious note, I wanted to thank you guys for your insight. I agree with most of the coments. Redskins fans are truly intelligent and know the game of football.

This is what the pre-season is for. As I mentioned, I AM a Steve Spurrier fan and if (or shall I say WHEN) the offense is a smooth operating machine and "clicking on all cylinders"..........we will be SCARY (providing we also have a decent running came to compliment the pass). I can't wait.

Man, I am really starting to take to Laverneus Coles. He seems to catch a long pass every game. Hasn't missed any pass thrown to him. I know that Spurrier is "holding back" the playbook for now. This is obvious. I can't wait until we "unleash the dragon".

Two fights broke out in practice last week. The team (offense) is audibling an awful lot these days and having to rush to get the ball off in time. We are also breaking out of the huddle late.

As far as INTENSITY is concerned............WE HAVE NONE. Except for a few players, most of our players look like they are simply "going through the motions".

I know that Spurrier has "toned down" his play calling this pre-season, after exposing his whole hand last pre-season. Still, offensive players sometimes look confused.

Spurrier also says in post game interviews (both games) that we have to "coach better". We have new O and D coordinators who are taking a lot of new responsibilities, and I understand that it is a growing process.

I (for one) am a Spurrier fan. Love the guy. However it begs the question: Do we have a coaching problem?????

" Do we have a coaching problem????? "
answer : spurrier is the head coach.
(enough said).

I would be the big guy to the right.

As far as the "white corporate guy", he was just some dude that ran up to us claiming to be a big fan and asked if he could take a pic with us.

I cant wait till Spurrier yells to Ramsey: "RELEASE THE KRAKEN!!!"

I don't know how many games we'll win....but There will be hell to pay if we get our offense going correctly.

i noticed in the last game that the O went to the line at around 20 ticks, ramsey checked the D and audibled to a new play if need be with plenty of time to spare.

That reminds me, Kenny, I think I saw ya on the big screen during the game Saturday night.

It's hard to tell if we have a coaching problem right now. Most of the penalties can be attributed to either new players coming into the system or problems with the audibles, both of which are the exact things that the preseason is for. Let's just hope they get ironed out before September fourth.

The reason for the sloppiness goes back to the coach. It appears to me Spurrier is nothing more than Norv part 2. I know it's only the pre-season but I would like to see some crispness in the 1st string.

Make the season starts, and we'll be able to have more accurate comments. Pre-season don't mean a thing.

Once (maybe twice) that happen and maybe it was a sign that Patrick is learning. BUT if you'd been able to listen to Sonny, he was going crazy over this time after time.

First of all welcome Trung24....second I agree with you..that comes down to coaching and these guys have looked sloppy as hell. If they can't get the little things right how the hell are they gonna get the rest done?

I agree to the point that once again this year the Team has new coaches.... We need consistency and contiuity. Then the problem will dissipate. In the mean time.... they have got to get the little things rightand the big things will fall into line.

Well, I was listening to Sportstalk Radio yesterday and they were slamming Spurrier for his coaching (lack of). They said the team is sloppy and it's reflective of Spurrier. 25 penalties in two games and how Spurrier keeps saying over and over that we have to coach smarter and better. They were really down on him.

Umm...remind me how many preseason games we won in 1992? 'Nuff said.

jporterweb that was because we had alot of proven vets that did not to play alot in pre-season. I wish I could have your insight but its not about if they won or lost. Its how sloppy they played. I could care less about the score to be honest. Its all the penalties and mental errors this team is making. If you use the excuse for ST that they are testing different players, then why is not every NFL team giving up TD's on their kickoffs and punts? I will try and get excited but they really need to step up.
