I am always a sucker for a good western. I liked this movie. There were sone slow parts but the gun fights were amazing.

Jeff, isn't a worrying sign when you pick Open Range and your wife picks Freddy vs. Jason?

I heard this movie was described as "Armageddon" meets "Dances with Wolves."

Could not agree more. Kurt Russell was the best Wyatt Earp IMO, far better than Kevin Costner.

"Go ahead, skin that smoke wagon and see what happens!"
"Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself!"

Not true at all..this is one of those old school Westerns...so if you want action packed movie..don't bother going to this. Its not one of those young gun type movies. Its more like The Unforgiven. Except The Unforgiven is my favorite and this one falls just short of it.

Val Kilmer stole the whole movie as Doc Holliday...
