Rajaun's Team
Well, my son Rajaun along with the rest of his 65lb teammates for Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville are now 5-0-1 and sitting in 1st place in their division. Other then a 6-0 win and a 0-0 tie, they have been putting up alot of points in their victories. Here are a few pics of my son in action.....

Actually, he hasn't scored any this year yet. He's the backup tailback and he gets the most of his time on the offense playing TE and FB. The pictures above were from his best run this year, which went for about 45yds. He would have scored if he had a little more blocking, but he wound up being tackled after being surrounded by 4 defensive players. So far in practice this week, they have been working alot on him chipping the DE then running about 10yds and out, which he has taken to the house a few times. Maybe he'll get his first TD this week on that play.

That's cool. I remember when I played at his age, I was a FB that didn't get many carries and I didn't score. Then they moved me to Tackle and our RB, that I could outrun, scored 9 TD's running behind me.

That's a great progression in the pics. You can see him turning the corner on #75.

I love the way he has that ball tucked! Congrats to you and your boy, here's hoping for a TD for him, he's earned it
Oh, and props to your blockers!

Well, my boys have earned a spot in the county championship game next Saturday by beating Glenarden 19-13 tonight. The game is 6pm at the PG Sports and Learning Complex (next to FedExField) next Saturday if anyone is interested. Rajaun had a solid game. He made a few tackles, including one with under a minute to go in the game that stopped what looked to be a big gain as Glenarden was driving to attempt to take the lead.
BTW, I forgot to tell you guys that he did indeed get his first TD two weeks ago on a FB blast play, which he ran for about 45yds. I expected him to hoot and holler after his first TD. His reaction? He simply flipped the ball to the ref and acted as though that wasn't his first time in the endzone during a game.
That's my boy.....

At least I can say I got to see a team with a defense yesterday. I went to Ra's game and the little guys actually play defense unlike some other team I'm a fan of. On one play, one of the CB's contained a stretch play. It was textbook technique.
I think Rajuan has been watching Sellers alot. Sticks with his blocks to the very end.

I think that CB would be an immediate upgrade over Rogers. Is there any way to get him to Redskins Park?

Phenomenal. Great, great stuff Kenny. I get all warm and fuzzy inside looking at those pictures man. It must be a super proud feeling watching your boy do his thing. Congrats man. Keep on doing what most men run away from now-a-days: being a great father.
