For both game winning field goals I squatted down like a baseball catcher in front of the couch and held my wife's hand. I peeked up at the screen on the 2nd one and saw Gibbs doing the same squatting thing I was...... The 2nd one, I knew it was goin' thru as he kicked it.

When we were down 19-12, and Lloyd got the pass interference call, I had a good feeling. Next thing you know, I hear a loud "BOOM" and all power goes out. i was screaming "ARE YOU *SPENSORED* KIDDING ME!!!" oh it was bad... I woke my roommate up from a nap, and she just went back to bed thinking it was a bad call during the game.
On a quest to watch the rest of the game, I went to the boy toy's house a little ways down and said "Tell me you have power". I was very willing to offer almost anything to watch the game, and he laughed and said "You are gonna have to suck up to somebody else to get the game." Damn...So after frantically calling Dr. J (who at first didn't realize that i didn't have access to the game, and in my running to find power, Cooly Scored to tie the game.) So i called one of my littles, she still had power, and i ran all the way across campus to get to her dorm. I made the normal 15 minute walk in just under 7 minutes. I get to her room and its tied (wah hoo cooley, I got to see the replay).
Well we miss the FG, and i sink to the ground. They get the ball back and make the 20 yard pass or what ever and after a loud "*Spensored*!!!" and the neighbor checking on us, I kick him out of the room and concentrate on the TV. I literally went to my knees and prayed... i kept saying over and over "block it, block it, block it....". and they did!!!! I screamed HOLY *SPENSORED* (I get emotional during games and tend to curse often) , and kept yelling "GO TAYLOR GO!!! GO!!" then i saw his head go back, and I was screaming "Its a facemask!!! THEY CAN'T END IT LIKE THAT ITS A FACE MASK". Mind you the neighbor comes in AGAIN, just to see the comotion I'm causing...it was insane.
And the kick.... oh the kick , lol i told my little if he made it that i just might cry and he did, barely, i didn't think it was going in at first. I literally was holding my breath. Then I whooped and hollared and danced and sang and screamed and omg... it was blissful. The only thing he guy next door could do was laugh. I walked home (mind you no jacket, no shoes, i was in flip flops because I RAN out of the house) and sang and danced. Some kid saw me and was like "YEAH SKINS" and he and i became friends! and i saw a cowboys fan and LAUGHED. oh it was fantastic...I'll remember this for a LONG time.

hehehe...that's awesome

When Novak hit the winning kick I was EXTREMELY happy (but I couldn't yell because it was in the middle of the night..)..after about 1 minute I became extremely pissed (or bitter).

Because we had to wait until we were 2-5 to show some passion and to do things we should have been doing since the beginning of the season (blitzing a young QB, sticking with the ground game no matter what, looking for Lloyd downfield, calling an aggressive game on both sides of the ball, avoid getting a million penalties, etc. etc.).
I'm just real pissed that every year we have to wait till our backs are nailed up against the wall to show what we are capable of as a team (5-6 last year, 2-5 this year..). Why we do not do this from the start is just incomprehensible.
It pisses me off that unless we pull off some kind of miracle and go 7-1 the rest of the way, this win will have been useless.

beating dallas is never useless.. but i understand your frustration.
the offense has sputtered all season despite adding dangerous playmakers in the offseason. the o line is a constant.. you have to ask yourself why.. to me the answer seems obvious, but there is much disagreement here over that. so we should just enjoy the victory and hope it is the start of a great run like last year..

1)It is if we don't make the playoffs. If we are a team with high expectations anything less than that is not acceptable. There is absolutely nothing I hate more in the world than "playing spoiler".
2)I'm tired of hoping for miracles.

I literally started climbing up rows onto people. there were high-fives, fist-bumps, and hugs for about 40-60 strangers before it was all said and done, but I got about 5 rows up beofre I even realized that Taylor returned the blocked kick. We were cheering so loudly that I couldn't hear the ref and the lady that was sitting next to me asked "Why are we getting a chance to kick a field goal". I admitted that I didn't know but it had to be some sort of penalty on dallass (knowing that is the only reason the game wouldn't have ended). The she asked, "Can he make it from there" and I said "yes" and hugged her as it looked like the ball was going wide right....
30 minutes later I had said my goodbyes to all the exiting fans and we headed out to the drum line and back to tailgating... Basically, I was in hog heaven for 24 hours!!!

Spicy baby, things take time. A new offensive coordinator and several new starters don't just plug in and make the team better. The last thing I want this team to do is fold up the tents and go home. The NFC is weak and you never know, but at the very least, we are playing to build a foundation for 2007. I had similar twinges of frustration given that we should be 5-3, but that is life.... Roll with it and never get so blinded that you can't enjoy a win over the mosted hated of rivals.

Well my 11 month old daughter had been laying sleeping on me all game. She is sick. So i was pretty quiet up until then. When Dallas lined up i thought it was over. Well in comes Vincent i jumped off the couch(daughter in hand) and was acting like a fool going RUN RUN RUN TAYLOR RUN!!!!!!! My fiance was laughing at me. My daughter woke up and kinda looked at me like "Will you please shut it im trying to sleep!" Well then i sat back down to listen to the penalty. I figured with our luck it was a hold or something. To my pleasent suprise we got 1 more play. Novak lines up and kicks and im like damn its wide right. Oh hold on thats coming back left! I think i held my breath another 10 seconds while it snuck its way back inside the goal post. Then jumped up again and said holy crap he made it. My daughter woke up again. This time she gave me a high five and went back to sleep. The craziest 5 minutes of my life.
