I'd really like to try one of these but I don't want to drop the cash until I'm sold on the system. Maybe I'll get one after the price drops so I can play all the old games.

i thought the graphics are bad. i actually think that a ps2 is better than the wii. the only reason to get it is for the controler. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. i just dont see why people would get one

???

are you talking about wii sports? Nintendo just made that to showcase what the console is capable of doing. Also, I think they were trying to get older people to play it or something... broaden their audience...

just go google some Wii games, it definitely beats the crap outa the ps2 in the graphics department.

Pathetic??? When did nintendo hype it up as a super graphics machine? All that's been hyped is that it would be different and fun. Which it is. My wife and I played the bowling last night for 2 hours, which felt like 5 minutes we were having so much fun.

again, the controller is the selling point.

How is it bad that innovative controls are the selling point? Graphics upgrades will keep coming, but the Wii is the future of gaming.

Anyone who is against the Wii needs to see Madden for it. You can freaking point and throw the ball to your reciever, how cool is that?

There are so many things that developers could do with the Wii controls, its insane.

Also, the graphics WILL get better on the Wii, these initial games are really Gamecube ports.

Anyone remember playing an early PS2 game and then playing God of War? Optimization will bring Wii graphics to very acceptable levels, and the control system will allow a lot of innovation in gameplay.

Graphics don't make a game, gameplay does. How many PSPs has Sony sold again?

I would like to have one but I fear I would have to close my blinds to play it lol. It would be funny to walk by someones house and see them in an intense tennis match on the Wii.

BTW, What is the price tag on it?

I did have an opportunity to play the Wii at a friend's house last night. Played the Wii Sports thing, and some Super Monkey Ball. IT was pretty fun. Seems like a good system to play when you have friends over, but it didn't seem like the best choice for single player stuff, as it gets tiring. To be fair, I didn't really play any single player games, but I can sit for several straight hours and play XBox or PlayStation, but by the time we were done with a couple hours of Wii playing, my arm hurt. Maybe I'm just a pansy. I also could have probably slowed my swings down a bit, I was really whipping that controller around, but the accelerometers worked better when you changed direction quickly.
