Default RUMOR: Miami interested in Trade if Quinn Available at #6

Rumor has it that the Phins may be interested in a tradedown with the Redskins if Quinn is available at #6. The Dolpins are drafting at #9.

If said rumor were to be true then compensation of our 1st for their 1st, 3rd, 6th work out almost perfectly based off the draft value chart.

I would love that. Hopefully Okoye would still be there at 9, if not him then Anderson.

I'd be happy with the #9, DE Matt Roth and a mid rounder. He's exactly the high energy berserk DE we need. And at 272, he's stout enough to play the run. And we could still get Okoye/Branch/Willis/Hall/Landry.

i would think that at 9 we would have the pick of okoye or anderson... and most likely carricker and branch or any other d lineman not named adams.

if willis and landry go early that will push d linemen down to the 9 spot

The more talented players that can be added the better IMO, especially on the DL. I am just hoping we can get 2 quality players out of our 6 pick.

i know you have posted that potential trade before.. what do you think miami thinks of roth that they would let him go ?

without him, really do not have much youth at DE

They have a lot of extra picks, and Roth isn't fit for their 3-4.

This would be a perfect move, but I hope we even trade down a little further and pick up another 3rd and Jaamal Anderson. Depending on how mant teams want Quinn, we might even be able to pull a 2nd ounder out of Miami.

a lot of us wish we had drafted him 3 years ago, i would certainly welcome him in a trade with the phins. at the 9 spot, we could still add another dlinemen, like jamaal anderson. i have a feeling okoye will be gone by then, and the branch rumors have me a bit worried about him. or we could even go with patrick willis, and have daniels rotate in the middle.

I am real worried that we will be stuck with the 6th pick. If one of the top five players (Johnson, Russell, Thomas, Peterson, and Quinn) do not fall to us, I don't think anyone will be interested in trading up. Who will go before these players that will cause one of them to fall? Will someone trade up for Landry, Adams, or Okoye? Who else is worth trading up for?

Thats a good question, but it seems Atlanta is pretty interested in Landry, so to move down a bit for a 3rd isnt bad.

So Atlanta would have to be worried that either we or Minnesota will take him in order for them to feel the need to trade up. Like us, safety is not Minnesota's biggest need. Is Landry a better prospect than Adams or Okoye? If I was Atlanta, I would probably take the chance that he would fall.

Well, Landry is probaly the closest you are gonna get to a sure thing. Atlanta could go either way though, because they have expressed interest in Okoye. They could use help in their secondary, but its not a must because they have Hall, and Jimmy Williams. He would instanly improve that secondary, or just about anyone's secondary for that matter.

The other thing Atlanta might have to consider is who we (or the Vikings) might trade with to get ahead of them for Landry. It is well known that we want to trade down. If Atlanta feels we are likely to trade with another team that is hot on Landry, they may feel the need to move up to ensure they get him.

Is there another team that is high on Landry that might want to trade with us? Panthers or Jaguars?
