Default Henson finally will give the NFL a shot

I'm surprised it took this long for him to reach this conclusion.

Must be hard to walk out on $12 million, though.

Interesting. I hate to say it, but the Cowboys are a likely destination....

Don't forget Houston still has to trade him. What a deal they got. They'll probably get a 1st rounder for him and they drafted him in the 6th round with a compensation pick.

Casserly doesn't look so foolish now, does he.

I wonder if Henson will bypass a contract with the Texans and re-enter the draft in 04?

I am not concerned about him. I think he missed his window. It was tool late for Weinke, too late for Hutchinson and I predict it will be too late for Henson.

I do think the Cowboys will line up for him, however.

But Henson is younger then those guys. He's only 23 now and its not like he's been sitting on his butt doing nothing. Weinke was like 28 when he came into the league and Hutchinson spent more time in the Minors then Henson. 1 more thing is that Henson ran a BIG TIME college program he's played against great competition. He'll be rusty but I doubt anyone will trade for him without realizing it'll take atleast a year for him to regain form.

His accuracy has in no way been tested on the professional level. Ramsey has a year under his belt, been to all the QB schools, mini camps, training camp & 4 preseason games. He has been reading defenses the past 5 years straight and still, everyone is hoping that he can do it this year. Ramsey is in no way a sure thing this year.

I think Henson, just like Hutchinson, is more like a 2 year project.

Henson played at a higher level then Ramsey did in College also. But I agree Henson is a project.

Henson did the wise thing and gave baseball a shot.
1- MORE MONEY in baseball.
2- fewer injurys
3- fewer CAREER ENDING injuries.

Sometimes it takes a while to realize you suck. At least he knows it, so it's time to move on and try Football. If he sucks there, well, there is always sacking groceries!!!!
