A while back I was over at my mom's house and I turned on VH1. They were doing one of those "behind the music" things about Led Zeppelin. My mom, being clueless, sees Robert Plant on the TV screen and says, "Who is that ugly woman?" I totally laughed my you-know-what off!!! After all, she was right: he really IS an ugly woman!

Word is that his boy is just as good if not better. It would be a fantastic show.

Meh.
After seeing the Police, I won't be lining up for any more geriatric retirement-fund get-togethers.
More cash-cow milking IMHO. Once the scent of greenbacks is in the water, all the sharks come to the frenzy.
Zep in their prime would have been another thing altogether...

I always found the drummer for the Police annoying. No wonder Sting went solo.

LOL, I'm the exact opposite: I think Sting is a tool, and Stewart Copeland is an amazing drummer.

I would happily pay to watch them play live.

I love the Police. But they aren't Led Zep. You'd be hard pressed to get their best stuff into 4 hours, let alone the 2-3 that is usual for a concert.
I would also add that the idea of Jason Bonham playing drums for a reunion has been floating around for 20 years now. Did Plant and Page just get the memo??? WTF? That would have been much better 15 years ago. But then again, The Who still rock in concert.

True. Actually, I have trouble stomaching a lot of Indy's shows, cause they get bands and guys that are no where near what they were, and frankly sound like karokee outtakes sometimes. I was impressed with a PBS show I saw of Pink Floyd, soundwise. The voice arrangements were ok, in their subtle, soft tones and the acoustics made me feel high - I had the equalizer in CONCERT mode and I am telling you I was there!(hey look, no joint!).

So I'm in the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Orlando and I turn on the TV an see that Pink Floyd concert you're talking about and am blown away. A year goes by and I don't see it again. So, about a year or so later, by sheer coincidence, I'm back in the same hotel. I turn on the TV and what's on? You guessed it, the same friggin' concert, lol. Haven't seen it since either.

D man that is downright scary!! That sounds like some kind of omen (shudders slamming, wind blowing, distant howls in the background).
