Default Notes from the Redskins - Eagles Gameside

I was very lucky to be given great tickets to the Beagles - Redskins game. 50 yard line, 6 rows up from the Redskins bench. Here are some observations from the game not necessarily in order of importance.

Brandon Lloyd has no friends. Mostly sits alone. Ignored by most of the other players.

Cooley seemed distracted. Dropped an easy one and another he might have caught.

The Redskins did not give up as they might have in previous years.

ST and LL hang out together on the bench. Taylor has a mad set of hair.

As with dolphins the 'skins seemed to pound the ball better at the run as the game went on.

Andre carter yelled to the Philly fans (in our section) after the game - egging them on.

Lots of booing of McKnabb & Reed. General feeling was that he had peaked. After many winning seasons it's a "what have you done for me lately" idea.

Smeagols fans were enthusiastic, but got taken out of the game easily.

The closer you get to the field the nicer the fans are. Of course that is all relative - I only saw one actual fight and one beer being poured on a Redskins fan during the game near our section.

Andy Reed (Iggles coach) has lost his edge. Made some poor calls. Think his family life is distracting him.

The new stadium has drained a little venom from the fans. I only got told once to my face - that I s*cked: by an 8 year old with his proud parent.

HAIL! Great game to watch the ascension of Campbell and the decline of McKnabbster.

The only reason they were so nice was that it was late.

Genral reaction to the game was that Campbell looked good - guess they expected a Brunell showing or something.

great to hear your observations. i'm glad Landry and Taylor are hanging together. they keep that up and they are going to be the best safety tandem in the league. they might already be, which is scary because they are going to get better.

Thanks for the insight colkurtz, good stuff!

ST & LL are really looking good so far. If they are best friends off the field that could really mean that great communication on the field.
We could see a lot more of this!

Brandon Lloyd... well I think that he could learn alot from his surroundings. Stop with the sulking and take it one play at a time. Make the most of the play and the BIG play will come. Look at ARE and Cooley. Cooley was silent until the OT last week and this week BIG! First week ARE had a career day and this week he had a solid game. You never know, B Lloyd should get over there and get with the team.

I went to a few games at the Vet as a youngster and I remember most of the troublemakers sitting up in the 600 (or maybe it was the 700) sections. I'm guessing if you have seats in the first few rows of the 50, you are probably a long-time season ticket holder and are mature enough not to pour beer on opposing team fans. I'll bet there is a world of difference between the types sitting in the nosebleeds and the types sitting low on the 50 in terms of instigators.

Mental Note: If planning on going to the Linc, sit down low on the 50!

Thanks for sharing.

Edit: Quick question. Where was Brunell on the sidelines? At one point on the TV, I saw him be the first to meet JC after he walked back to the sidelines. It appeared he was giving him some advice or something. I wonder if he was hanging around JC often during the defensive series.
