National Lacrosse League cancels season

The big surprise to most people in this story is that there was a National Lacrosse League. My opinion is that the canceled season is simply a short stop on the way to shutting down the whole league.

I for one absolutely LOVE going to NLL games. I went to several Philadelphia Wings games when I was in Philadelphia, at least one a year. They are a good time and I never had anything to complain about. That being said, I think very few people truly be upset by the decision to cancel the season.

When you consider that most of the teams in this league are run by NHL teams it's no surprise that there are management issues.
I'm not saying the players are blameless in this though. Most of those guys are getting more than $1,000 per game for part-time weekend work. It's hard to see where they are getting mistreated.
RIP NLL

Knowing this got me 2 points last night at a local pub quiz. It still wasn't enough though to get my team into the top 3. We ended up in 5th place. If only they had listened to me more, we could have finished in the money.
