Damn, what a way to open up the new stadium. I wish I'd stayed up to watch the second half.
The fans must have been going crazy after, and during, the game!
Just like Austin Skins fan said, you gotta love it.

I think the Gints are now the team to beat in the East. Eagles lost too many playas on defense.

How about the fake FG in the red-zone? I like the trickery, but not against the Bucs - take the 3 points.
I do like seeing the Eagles getting shut-out though ... hope that continues.

Yeah...that was Andy Reid trying to be cute with a trick play. He wanted to top last year's opening drive trick play, when they completed an onsides kickoff.
Reid knew that this was going to be a defensive battle, and that EVERY point counts.
Too bad...NOT sad....
3 Cheers to the bottom dwellers of the NFC EAst!

I missed the 2nd half, but I heard Jerovicious made some great TD catches.

Mike, Jurevicious made two of the most incredible TD catches I've seen in years. You've got to catch them on a highlight show. If you've got HBO, watch "Inside the NFL." I guarantee they'll show each catch.

Great seeing the Eagles take a beating, even though it was Sapp's squad that administered the blows.
What about all the other exceptional catches this week? Man, the two TDs by Rogers, one sideline grab by Price, then that stupendous one hand tight roper by Chambers. Great stuff.

Man, the Bucs looked downright SCARY. My pre-season Super Bowl picks were (surprisingly): Tampa Bay & Buffalo. Both teams SHUT OUT THIER OPPOSITION, thus making me look like a week 1 GENIUS.
I am trying to stay calm, however. After week 1 the Redskins (and hate to admit it, the Giants) looked rather good and the Eagles didn't.
We all need to chill. I am happy that the Eagles lost also, but it is a LONG season. They certainly didn't look nearly as good as last years team. Lets hope that it stays that way.
BTW: THE PHILLY FANS BOOED THEIR TEAM GOING INTO THE LOCKER ROOM AT HALF-TIME (AND THEY WERE ONLY DOWN 3-0).

I'm a big fan of Joe J. [not even going to try and spell his last name] If you saw the special about JJ and his little son, you would be too. for those who don't know, Joe and his wife lost their infant son right before the Super Bowl last year. Every since I saw that special on ESPN I've been a fan.
And don't surprised to see both catches on the ESPYS next year.

Jurevicious was amazing last night. The fake FG was a good call and should have been caught, but LJ Smith dropped it while wide open. You take away two unbelievable catches (two of the best I have ever seen) and it's a 3-0 ballgame. The Eagles played very well and were beaten by a better Tampa team. I still think they are the team to beat Losing to the Bucs is not a sign of being a slouch.

Yeah, I heard those boo's and Al Michaels mentioned them as well. Anybody been to a Philly board to see how they are taking it?

I heard they were booing when the game was still tied at 0-0. Thank God I'm not a Philly fan.
At least I get to claim the rights to being one of the first to say the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC East this year. That is, if this trend continues.... It's only been one week. If Philly ends up on top, then I never really said that, and anyone who remembers it was just imagining things.
