Why am I not surprised? Arguably our worst free agent signing ever when you throw in the traded draft choices. Man I was really hoping Santana could play in this one considering what he did to the Pukes in 2005 and he could get going in this one. It's gonna be a tough one.

I just can't believe that I thought bringing him here 2 years ago was a good idea. TO costs Dallas less next year than we will pay Brandon.

I heard a rumor that he got into a shouting match with one of offensive coaches before practice (no link sorry) so all in all a horrible day. I really enjoyed a local media member calling him out last week to pay back that million. After acquiring him if people don't value character in a professional football player they need to have their head examined. Complete utter waste.

Nothing and I mean nothing would surprise me with this guy or this front office. I don't think any of us would be shedding any tears.

This is not good. We are looking at needing to score at least 35 pts to win with no receiver from our starting three but a gimpy ARE. I hope Jason can get some timing with Caldwell and McCardell because we will need every yard we can get. Especially with our defense hurt and looking like crap.

How come the Cowgirls never seem to get hit with the injury hammer like we do? Does cocaine lubricate the conective tissues or something?

and there is his point. 1 reciever. we have:

Carlos rogers out for the season
Randy missing i think it is 2 months
Jansen out for the season
Taylor out probably 3 weeks
Santana probably out and at best gimpy
ARE gimpy
Smoot Gimpy
Springs missing practice to be with family (prayers are with you)
Washinton Gimpy
Portis took awhile to get back in the swing of it.

Imagin the cowboys without:
Antheny henry
There RG (i think l. davis if i remember correctly)
There RT (whoever)
Roy williams
To out
Terrence newman gimpy
who ever there third CB is gimpy
Demarcus ware gimpy
Barber/jones take 4 weeks to get into it.

sometimes life isn't fair, look at the colts and there injuries and then look at the pats and cowboys. someday the luck will turn around....................someday

Wow. I had visions of Lloyd aping Moss' performance in '05, being the hero of the game and finally coming into his own (what can I say, I'm delusional).

This game is shaping up to be more lopsided than the Scabs game in '87.

What a horrible, horrible year. These injuries just keep on comin'....

The Patriots won a Super Bowl with a WR playing cornerback. But that's beside the point. I was only referring to injuries to WRs since that's what this thread is about.
And here's why I don't like the injury excuse. Out of the 4 games we have lost, 1 was a massacre (and nothing would have changed with 100% health), and the others were 2 second half collapses, which had much more to do with scheme, playcalling and attitude rather than injuries, and the other was a tough loss in Green Bay, in which our main receiver had such a dreadful game that he took himself out. I'm not saying we haven't been hurt by injuries. We have. But I think that pointing to those distracts us from the real problems of the team.
