Default HBO: Inside The NFL - No more

I was reading a little article at ESPN.com on NFL Films laying off 10% of it's workforce (21 out of 283). One of the reasons for the layoffs is that HBO did not renew Inside The NFL. I did not know this.

I thought that's what freed up Eyebrows n Coke to join ESPN.

LOL. I'm glad. They rarely showed redskins highlights and they always dogged us, so I stopped watching it after a while.

Outside of the extended highlights possibly the worst NFL show I have ever seen. Bob Costas, Dan Marino, Kris Collinsworth, Cris Carter and the ultimate Redskins hater in Peter King not one likeale personality in the group. Never thought anyone could make NBC's coverage seem watchable but HBO did it, barely.

I liked knowing the show was on during the week. The only place to watch NFL Films highlights that I know of. For fans outside a major market, what do we have? Sports Center and maybe the NFL Network?

I never watched this show, and it looks like I never will.

I liked this show back in the early 90s. It was informative and had great highlights. Then it turned into a sportscenter wannabe.

A very astute observation. The concept is difficult to explain, but you know it when you see and hear it. Calm and reasoned discussion replaced by something else. It isn't Collingsworth's fault.
