Default Redskins sending email ads about shows

Anyone else receive an email from Redskins.com about Chris Rock coming to town along with someone else. What's up with that crap. I don't need that from them.

Marketing is Dan's field of expertise. A similar e-mail might be sent when the movie Valkyrie is released in a few months. Subject matter is fascinating.

If that happened, I'd probably start some sort of crusade to have it ended. That's a bunch of BS.

I wondered why the hell I got that too. At first I thought it was a show at the stadium, but that'd be a silly venue for a comic. I wonder if there's a way to opt out of their ads.

Weird, it's almost like Dan thinks that if it comes from them, we will buy or go no matter what. I only want Redskins info from the Redskins.

Yea, I saw something from the Redskins w/ "Comedy" in the subject and I thought it was an article about Vinny Cerrato.

I can tell you exactly how this came about...

When the Redskins & StubHub were negotiating to have SH as the "official ticket partner of the Washington Redskins", SH asked for access to the Redskins email list to said non-Redskins related ticket emails. It is BS and an abuse of the Redskins season ticket waiting list (IMO)

Actually, I didn't actually OPEN the email so if it wasn't from SH then the crime is even worse b/c that means the Redskins are selling the marketing list. I worked in Online marketing for years and that is a big no-no, but organizations get around it by sending the email directly (which is why it was from the Redskins). Therefore, it doesn't violate their privacy policy b/c they technically didn't share the email data...

Reputable and knowledgeable companies will give their members a chance to "opt-in" to this kind of garbage, but it seems the Redskin approach loyalty marketing the same way they do free agency.

They have an email of mine that is no longer in use and thanks to this info, I'll be sure not to update it. I never got anything useful from them via email anyway.

I am probably going to unsubscribe. They don't even de-dupe their lists, which is so insanely basic that I can't fathom why it doesn't get done.

They also send links to different articles and tell you that tickets are mailed and such. It's not completely bad. This is just a little ridiculous.

Who says that the liver spotted hands of Cerrato didn't leave their oily fingerprints on that one?
