And the crow wont be for you but for Farmer Ted He started the thread. (or for me)

plus, the celtic's bench strength this year really does amount to something. guys like brown, cassell, house and posey are all playoff experienced and can give the team starters critical minutes of rest.. plus, guys like allen and davis
are maturing. they can survive an off night by one of their big 3 players
the deeper they go, the more rondo's maturity will be a critical factor

But guys like Cassell and House take pressure off of Rondo. Both are capable of running the team for very long stretches especially Cassell who as you mentioned is a Playoff performer.
Rondo cannot hold Gil's jock however and frankly I like this manifestation of Gil better than the one with his legs. The guy is actually acting like a PG. Im hoping that he learns from this (Much the way Isiah had to learn that his Pistons didn't need him to drop 30 a game, they needed him to run the show).

Gilbert's awfully proud of his regular season series victory. Seems a little risky to me to give the C's any extra motivation should they face each other.

Coming Through a Little Late on My Prediction
The Boston game felt like a playoff game to an extent.
Not the atmosphere though, sometimes it got a little bit loud. I thought Game 1 of the season up there was more like a playoff atmosphere because they had so much going on and that crowd was just crazy.
Our crowd didn’t need to get into it because they believed in us that we were going to win the game.
I remember when I made the prediction at the beginning of the year that we would beat Boston, everybody laughed at me after we lost. They had their little short giggles. I’m glad you guys giggled, because I’m going to be giggling the whole summer now.
I think we’re the only team in the league to beat them three times this season. So, giggle giggle giggle back. You all were so quick to kill me, but five months later I got the last laugh.
Three out of four.
HA!

I totally hacked into Gilbert's blog. I can't wait until the Bullets end the Celtic's season.

I have to laugh at "bulletin board material". If you are in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs and cannot get inspired on that basis alone to play your best ball, then what difference does it make what gets posted on the bulletin board?

I loved LeBron's response today to the trash-talking: "We don't need to trash-talk." No crap, sherlock, you've got David Stern fixing your games for you. The end of their game last night was outrageous. Game over. Ooops, let's review the final play to see if there was a foul, and then send one of the Cavs to the line to make the game-winning free throws. That was as bad as the '72 Olympics. You gotta wonder why David wasted that move on a pretty meaningless regular season game. I can't wait to see how he fixes the series with the Bullets.

Except that the NBA has a very recent history of Refs fixing games and it has long been speculated that some series outcomes are pre-determined.
The Bullets can beat the Cavs, but they cannot beat the Cavs and the Refs.

why on earth would stern want his star power child out of the playoffs in the first round ?
no way the bullets win, fixed or straight up...

Exactly our point Shally, but those of us who think this are labeled "Iggles fans".
