Default Wizards are DuPree Darkhouse to Potentially Win it All!!

He of course he hedged his bets some in this article....but it was nice to get some love from the national press...

While i think that most of us Wizards fans agree that there isn't much of a chance for us to 'win it all' this year, it is nice to see someone from the national press give us some love.

Personally I think that getting to the East finals would be a hell of an a achievement (as it would have meant knocking off Boston -- the odds on favorite to win it all)...

at the very least we need to knock off Cleveland and give Boston all that they can handle if we want to consider this post-season a success.

If we beat Cleveland and the refs, we'll have no problem with the Celtics, assuming Kevin Garnett can actually win a first round series.

OUCH. Too bad they aren't playing the Sixers, I think they have a fighting chance against Detriot.

Wiz vs. Cavs should be one of the closest series in the first round.

hey I know we are wearing our WIZinators(tm)...but

Garnett got the conference championships in 03-04 amd it was the last time the timberwolves had a team around him.

However you are right for awhile he was the Tracy McGrady of Minnesotta

I liked this part of the article the best:

Quote:
The coach. Eddie Jordan won't get much Coach of the Year consideration, but he did a masterful job, considering the prolonged absences of Arenas and Butler, as well as a host of other injuries. He got his team to believe in itself defensively and to trust one another on offense. His style of coaching breeds confidence. Players like playing for him because he is brutally honest and would never hang any of them out to dry.
I can't remember if they extended his contract at the end of last season, I know there were at least talks about it though. If it didn't happen, it needs to. Eddie Jordan is a pretty darn good coach.

And here's this CNY..

Quote:
• Boston beaters. They were the only team to knock off the Celtics three times this season (their likely second-round opponent if they get past Cleveland). The Wizards' biggest confidence builder this season came when they beat the Celtics in Washington on Jan. 12 and two nights later beat them again, this time in Boston. They also defeated the Celtics again last week at Washington, with their only loss in the series coming in the second game of the season.
Look out!

yeah yeah, both those wins came without one of the big 3 playing for the Celtics and during our worst slump of the year. Hey I want to see a wiz celts matchup believe me because it will be great basketball.
