LaRon vs Portis: You make the call
Portis and LaRon ran a race at practice today. The video is up at Redskins.com. Take a look and see who you think won the race.

it looks like laron won, but better yet does anyone have a stop watch? It goes from 17 sec to 21, but lets see the true time.

Without watching the video (and I will), I think that it's good news. Laron is greased lightning. It's wonderful that Portis gave him a run for his money, and didn't hurt himself. Good news in Redskinville, I think... (?)

That was close I thought Portis won with the lean Laron was right there at the freeze angle it looked like Landry was ahead. Very close.
I'm impressed by both guys speed. Landry has jets Portis despite all the pounding still got it.
Both guys in great shape

that was VERY close--looks like a tie even. i had to watch it a couple of times just to find out (not to mention the fact that there were a coupla shirtless guys running which kinda distracted me at first, ), but if i had to declare a winner, i'd say clinton won.

The redskins.com video gives the impression Laron won with the lunge at the end... but it's too close to call for me.

If you go by the waist. Landry won. But if you go by what track does the upper torso Portis wins. If both would run full speed into each other that would be one HELL OF A NASTY TRAIN WRECK !!

Glad as HELL they're on our team, speed and power can't be coached no doubt!

I love the post race interview where Laron said he started looking up at the sky halfway thru cause he knew he already won and looked over to see Clinton with his head down still truckin'. Ha. And Clinton blaming it on the age 27-22, this is what I saw on Comcast earlier. Good to see em having some fun while being competitive.

Landry coming outta LSU was a 4.4 guy or was he high 4.3's.
The Fact that Clinton can run a tie with him after years of punishment says something.

LaRon ran a 4.35 at his combine. The fact that Clinton blew him off at the start says a lot for CP. The guy has come in leaner and lighter and it evidently shows. If you had asked me before the race who would win, I would have said LaRon and not close for CP. Clinton showed me something today.
As to who won, we did. Without having a down the line look at the finish line it is too close to call. Knowing that CP is running under 4.4 again is priceless for me as a Redskins fan, though.

They look in great shape and it is May, that makes me real happy. Clinton is a very stocky guy, his upper body is much bigger than I thought.

Absolutely great news, especially to anybody that says Portis lost his burst. For all you Betts fans out there, any idea on how close Betts would be??? This guy thinks not very close.
