Nope, not at all.
That being said, while it *is* too early to talk about the MVP for the season, it is certainly the perfect time to talk about the MVP of the season through week 5.
Any complaints against Clinton for that honor?
None here, either.
I don't expect him to win it for the year, but it's still a wonderful thing to say that through 5 weeks, no player has had a bigger impact on his team. I can't even think of an argument for anyone else. Maybe Eli Manning? Psh. Whatever.
Keep it up, 26!

he has to keep it up and then he will have about 1500 yds and like 17 tds that would make him a serious contender for mvp

The man's got Portis as his avatar and his sig. I doubt he's going knock Clinton too hard.

We need to remain humble and focused, accolades in the first part of the season don't mean too much.

Way too soon, however:
If we finish deep into the playoffs (or better);
If he stays healthy;
he gets 1600-1700 yds rushing in this division
Yeah, he'll be a really, strong contender. The dude is a power runner in a smaller body. Absolutely ground down the Beagles this last game. Taking the pressure off JC.

I honestly think that if there is any MVP talks right now its between two skins players. Jason Campbell or Clinton Portis,take your pick.
