UNC beat Podunk State by 40? Shocker, lol.
Will you be posting the score of every UNC game in this thread?

I can live with that. He's always performed below his averages against us.
I'm really interested to see this year's game. I think we'll lose it again, but I think we can match your athleticism this year. We don't have overall talent, but I don't know if we've had a better team (from a physical standpoint) since the 90's.

LOL ......... and one that means even less ...... Maryland beat Northwood (coached by the Rollie Massimino of Villanova fame) 104 - 60. Greivis Vasquez sat out serving a one game suspension. ........... Side note: IMO the writing is on the wall and this will be Vasquez last season at Maryland.

LOL, you guys are going to better than you think. I think Hickson caused more trouble than he's worth. I look for Costner to be the player he was two years ago.

Wow, didn't expect this thread to be so dead.
UNC won the Maui Tournament for the 3rd time. Then we beat up on UNC-Ashville 116-48.
Maryland looked good against Michigan State, then looked just as bad against Gonzaga and G-town.
Did I hear it correctly that VMI beat Virginia? I know they beat Kentucky @ Kentucky but I can't verify that they also beat UVA.

Are you just bringing that up to dig on me? UVa lost to Liberty.
We did win the Las Vegas Invitational beating Kansas State and West Virginia (held them to 43 points). We won those in ugly fashion but, considering we're returning two starters (Meeks was essentially IR last year), one of whom has been awful, I think we'll get to be decent. We'll be pretty solid defensively, but scoring is going to be tough.

Watching Gtown Maryland was pretty bittersweet. I wish they would play every year. And Gary, look what happens when you bring McDonalds All American talent to the team? Did you see Austin Freeman and Greg Monroe Serving you the Business?

Yup. UVA beat VMI in the season opener. VMI actually a tough team to play. Same goes for Liberty...they are always the perrenial favorites out of the Big South. Speaking of...Liberty is holding tight with George Mason right now...as they are tied in the 2nd half.
On the other hand, UVA beat Radford by only 2 points. lol. That is worse than losing to Libery; IMO. Radford rarely won games when I used to go there. lol
Sylven Landesberg is the one bright light for this UVA program right now. The kid is averaging over 20 points per game. Guess i have something to look forward to for the next few seasons. This team isn't the same without $ean $ingletary.

It's funny, when I was a student at MD, I visibly cheered for GTown in that match-up. This time, now that I am an alum, I just wanted to see a well played game and would be a little happy for the winner and little sad for the loser.
What that game showed me however, was that MD is headed for the NIT, because Gtown is not as good (right now) as UNC or Duke, and again, it is because of a lack of talent due to Gary's poor recruiting.

The Big Ten should pull out and start the Big 10/Sun Belt Challenge.
Big props to Tubby starting 7-0 and putting one on UVA.

I have a friend from Michigan and he likes both schools. I will have to point out to him that MD has beaten them both in the span of 6 days.....
